Re: “Ryman Auditorium

Saw Mandy Barnett for 2nd time and continue to ask: Why or what is
the problem with this extremely talented singer having never had the
success she so deserving of in this town?

Re: “#MayoralChatter: Tennessee Immigrant and Minority Business Group Hosts Candidates Forum

Why is no one speaking about all the talents & hard work of our Criminal Court Clerk and what a nice lady his mother was. He has ridden the great mom & dad reputations all the days of his easy life. He has promised if elected to take no more perks than say a Warren Buffet.

Re: “#MayoralChatter: Barry Releases First Ad, Rebrovick Rides a Garbage Truck

Just the mention of "NashForward" makes me check to see if I still have a wallet.
This logo must have come from MSNBC knockoff that wants the most liberal agenda
city in the South. Thankfully, last night's TV debates had some talking push back
on a 100 million dollar wall as well as 100+ million new jail & police headquarters.

Re: “Megan Barry says she expected to be outspent by her mayoral rivals — but can she afford to let them catch up in name recognition?

I think you are way overplaying Megan's name recognition. Have you never
watched any of these man/woman on the streets interview with folks. They
don't know their, Governor, Senator, or VP's names nor photos. Mrs. Berry's
Husband may get more recognition from his tirades of old on TV about politics.
Freeman has his "equal pay for women" gimmick, Megan might go for equal
property valuations for all as her's, or likely more taxes for all.

Re: “Public Records Request Pisses Off State Legislators, Lays Bare Hypocrisy

I find the remarks from the Franklin Representative Casada to be the ugliest part of this story. His disdain for the request of subsidy to this Reps and the Sunshine Law on several occasions as a serious matter for his constituents to consider next election.

Re: “Jefferson Street's planned police headquarters brings long-simmering community concerns to the surface

This entire move of Justice Center & Jail is a plan to get these facilities off the main area of Downtown for further development and away from the eyes of tourist and business travelers to Nashville. The "noble reasons" for the moves are mainly bunk, folks.
While encouraged by the Mayor and others, they are letting the Sheriff, well qualified as Sheriff-but not as a developer of 100 million in building cost, & the Chief of Police, also not qualified as site selector or builder, to take the visual and PR lead on these two very expensive projects. Council should say "NO" at this time. Next Mayor & his Staff should decide the merits & cost structure of these projects.

Re: “We sent a dyed-in-the-wool progressive to the NRA convention. Here's what he saw.

So Scott, what actually is your point on that 1,000 word essay. The authors $25.00 membership fee I'm sure was reimbursed by the Scene as a Total Job Expense. Of course, Zack gets to keep the duffel bag and the exciting memories of seeing all those hundreds of new guns on display at the convention. Little night visuals to go to sleep with

Re: “#MayoralChatter: Kane and Fox Hit Up Salt Lake City With the Movers and Shakers

Is the Chamber picking up the bill for this trip and all who attend? Must not be totally free or Howard Gentry would have been aboard. Salt Lake and Nashville have about as much in common as Jerry Maynard and David Freeman.
