Yeah; I think people incorrectly believe the current location was sacred..

Re: “Wisconsin Shooting: Emphasis on 'Lone Gunmen' Lets Rhetorical Firepower Off the Hook

If you actually think suggesting people take their chicken sandwich buying elsewhere and shooting a bunch of unarmed people minding their own business (while tattooed or otherwise) are in any way equivalent "hate crimes,"gast, I'd like to provide you some advice on how to identify "Yours": Reach down with both hands and you'll probably find Yours. That other thing over there is a hole in the ground.

Just for clarity, they know who the shooter was and what he was:

When did "genius" become an adjective? Today?

Re: “The Small Triumphs of a History Nerd: Timothy Demonbreun Edition

Dare we remind Mr. Guns that the Nashville mayor has nothing whatsoever to do with appointments, even joking ones, a state library? That's not a mistake we'd expect from a "professional" crank.

Re: “The Small Triumphs of a History Nerd: Timothy Demonbreun Edition

Not everything is political or an excuse for a political attack, possibly even in Scene comments. (Ms. Phillips remark about "some Republican with a lazy brother" is obviously, to anyone who can read, wherever they were born and possibly schooled, just a passing remark about who's likely to get a job like that, if it existed, when there's a Republican administration and legislature. Which we have--it's been in all the papers.)

And yes, poster by numbers--all attempts to coming up with facts are, indeed, a media-historian-intellectual war on myths you happen to like personally. You have a perfect right to believe in the Sanctity of Ignorance, to practice Idolatry, or most anything else you want to.

But research and reporting will go on, with you or without you. Some people enjoy the accumulation of truths.
