Re: “Wamp Can't Pass Ramsey's 'Smell Test'

The real 'cheap shot' is how Ramsey continues to manipulate the state's budget to position himself in the media. He is a borderline illiterate and has an 1 in 3 chance of being the face of Tennessee for 4 years. Do you really think that executives from companies that may consider moving to Tennessee will be impressed by his third grade level of articulation. Or perhaps he can win them with his legislative track record - getting country of origin labels on catfish. Wow! I bet his mom put that one the refrigerator door.

Frankly, his background as auctioneer does not qualify him to be the manager of a Krystals, let alone to be a the political power behind a $29 billion budget.

He is an embarrassment to the party and the state. We will all be better once he goes back to East Tennessee and auctions off the homes of the families suffering from the horrific unemployment rate.

Re: “Wamp Goes Off on Tom Ingram, Sissy Wannabes and Uncooperative Reporters

Perhaps Wamp is pissed about the 'no gain' from the Rogaine? Regardless, he is always pissed about something, sadly it is usually something that he cannot articulate.

Seriously people.... let's not have four years of "Guv'nah Wamp" - what an unmarketable name - it sounds a stupid name Geico would give one of its cavemen.

I understand that Tipper decided she really needed a hung Chad.

Re: “Haslam Fends Off Wamp Attack

A good measure of a man is to watch their reactions while under pressure. Lately, we hear Wamp talking about sleeping with a gun and Ramsey habitually spewing his sociopath rhetoric. Business men, and especially ones that have goals and achieve them, talk about metrics. Metrics may be boring subject matter but it indicates that Haslam is a capable man. So, our choices are: A loose cannon (Wamp), an illiterate with Napoleonic Complex (Ramsey), or a boring business man (Haslam). Give me the business guy any day.

Re: “Budget Deal Shaky Already: Ramsey Won't Back Down on Babies

I would rather fund a physician at $200K per year to try to pull us out of the cellar on infant mortality than give a near-illiterate auctioneer (Ron Ramsey) $28 billion (state of TN budget) as Lt. Governor to use as ammo for his bully pulpit. And, shouldn’t Ramsey be culpable as Lt. Governor for our habitually low ranking metrics for quality of life in Tennessee?
Perhaps Ramsey should open his one good eye and focus on what matters in our state rather than his feeble attempts to grab media attention as he continues to sink in the polls.

Re: “Wamp Can't Pass Ramsey's 'Smell Test'

It totally makes sense that Ramsey uses a smelling test to vet his opposition as he cannot rationalize issues in a logical manner. Please read his quoted text and determine if you REALLY want this near-illiterate buffoon to be our next governor.
Like mom always said: Never trust a guy with a gimpy eye.

Re: “State Republicans diddled away their historic session with ineffectual gasbaggery. That's the good news.

Please name any Tennessee politician, Democrat or Republican that deserves to stay in office. I am not sure which is worse, sniffing airplane glue with West Tennessee’s booze-hound Ophelia Ford or being threatened by the boot of the that slack-jawed troglodyte, Ron Ramsey. Let’s face it, our state capital is firmly sandwiched between a matching bookends of idiots.
