I think the author of this article made an error in semantics with the phrase "Call me old fashioned, but I don’t like my rock ’n’ roll to reap of such palpable desperation." It appears he meant "reek" rather than "reap". If this is not the case, i believe the word "from" should have followed "reap", but that still doesn't quite make sense. P and K keys are pretty close to one another, but not so close as to indicate this was a typo, since reek is spelled with 2 R's. So, I think it was simply the wrong word.
