Re: “Bon Jovi at Bridgestone Arena, 4/21/10

Wow, this review is shocking. I attended the same concert and have been a Bon Jovi fan for years. I was not planning on going to the Nashville show this time, instead opting to travel to Louisville and see them at the Hullabalou music festival this summer. But I won tickets through a local radio station. I was in the nosebleed section too, but made the best of it. The problem I have with your critique of this concert, is that you are truly not a Bon Jovi fan. That being the case, you should review this not from the standpoint of whether you are a fan or not, but from the standpoints of the true Bon Jovi fans. They always deliver an outstanding performance. Jon and the band put a lot into their performances and you cut them down to the bone. If this is not your taste in music and you only attended because of free tickets and you had to "endure" the concert just for your job and writing this review, then you should at least try to be non bias and review it with more honesty. Jon and the band "delivered". They gave the real fans just what they wanted and loved. After this many years, their fan base continues to grow and they give their all in their performances. The 40 somethings (I am one) happen to enjoy their music and most have never heard of the other bands you mentioned. And by the way, my teenage daughters love them too, dancing and singing along knowing every word to every song. You can't deny the fans loved the show. All you had to do was look around. You should try to be fair when you write your reviews. This is so unfair to a great band that has proven success for 26 years. Shame on you.
