Profile in courage award? Please. I look forward to the day when a candidate is unashamed to say he or she is an atheist. We're not supposed to have a religious litmus test for public office in this country.
This is about liability. The free hand of the market in action. Of course Republicans want to absolve their gun fetishists of any responsibility for their negligence.
And why has NOBODY pointed out that there were armed military personnel at the Chattanooga shooting and the fact that they were armed prevented NOTHING? Good guys with guns, bad guys with guns, it doesn't matter. More guns - more gun deaths. End of discussion.
"If We're Saving Millions, Why Do We Still Need Cuts?"
Because the Republican mantra is ALWAYS "cut government," "cut taxes" and "ban abortion." These three things, repeated often enough, will magically rain ponies and lollipops down on us all.
If voters cared about "business experience" in their Mayor we'd have voted for Linda Rebrovick. I don't think anyone really gives a shit about how much "business experience" the mayor has. A city is not a business, and despite that trite line about "running government like a business," you can't. They are not the same thing. At all. And anyone who thinks they are maybe needs to stay in the private sector and stay far, far away from government.
Another one falls to the wrecking ball. Why? We have Megan Barry saying she wants neighborhoods to have a say in their future and David Fox saying we need to put the brakes on all of this development. I doubt either one will change a damn thing.
Honestly, until I moved here I had no idea that Andrew Jackson had anything to do with the Democratic Party. I could care less what we call our annual fundraiser. I'm a Democrat because of where the party stands NOW, not 150+ years ago.
And yet, Rick Womick believes in Agenda 21, electromagnetic pulse bombs, and in impeaching Gov. Haslam. At what point does the Republican leadership start to censure their crazy uncle?
