Re: “Which Comes First? Good Public Transportation or a Public Who Uses Public Transportation?”
Nashville needs better public transportation. Build it and and Nashville will be a better place to live, visit, and play. I recently left my hometown of Nashville and have move to a city with excellent public transportation. I can walk one block down the road and catch the Rapid and get anywhere I want to go for just $2.50. Being legally blind and no longer able to drive, this is such a lifesaver! I am no longer confined to my suburban Nashville home, 6 miles away from the closest bus stop. I no longer have to pay $30 cab fares just to go to the grocery store. My life has become so much easier now that I have access to rapid public transportation. Nashville, I miss you, but I won't be going back until you have the same ease of everyday living that I now enjoy.
