my m-i-l just bought one for my kids. thankfully, he lives at their house, since we are usually there the week of christmas. on the second day, he forgot to move. that isn't a good record, really. the last day, he threw dirty laundry everywhere. why does he get to be naughty when the kids have to be good? someone should tell santa on him!
i don't think that will be in our budget either. but it makes me think about daring to try a few things at home and seeing what i can come up with...

i just spent the evening crying to my husband about how hard my days are... thanks for reminding me that i'm not the only one who finds this hard and not the most fulfilling (at least, every day)...

that definitely makes me feel better...my son has been potty trained for awhile now but we still can't get the pooping thing down. i'm so ready for him to be completely done with diapers/pull-ups but i guess we'll just give it time.
by the way, i read about those crazy ladies who potty trained their infants. at the end of the article, it said that their kids were completely trained by age 2 1/2. who wants to go through all that effort for 2 years when you can do it in a week or less at the same age?!
they remind me of that horrible cicada noise. who in the world invented that? why did people decide that would be a good way to cheer for a team? how are they able to blow them constantly so there is no break in the sound? why did they get such a weird and crazy name (did "blow horn" not work?)?
these questions may never be answered...

Re: “How will my kids ever learn about late fees and rental protection?”
we're big redbox fans ourselves--i don't know how we'll ever watch the old movies since we are incapable of streaming anything at this time. my husband wanted to watch the apostle and we couldn't find it anywhere. will the old movies be lost to us forever (or at least until we can afford to stream stuff)?
