Re: “Ramsey Campaigns at Firing Range as Handgun Permit Killer Faces Jury

The article is a huge gloss over of the facts. The dead guy was drunk (.14bac), vandalized another's vehicle, and got into a shouting match with the lady who owned the vehicle. The shooter showed up last and needed to extricate his wife from all of this. Instead he becomes part of the problem, calls police, goes to the vehicle to retrieve a gun, and shots the original offender.

The jury found the shooter guilty and they are probably right but this article paints this case as "clear cut" which is was not. The children mentioned were all adults and they were unable to control the drunk to their regret. The fact that the shooter was a permit holder is not relevant since this was a "car gun" which he could have had legally available without a permit. Just call me E. Zach Lee-Wright

Re: “As culture war idiocy among lawmakers gains more traction, it might be time to consider lanyards with bullet pouches

Well Liz, you imply the Tennessee Drivers License written test is offered in Japanese and German. The heat you feel is from your pants being on fire.

Fact: 49 out of 50 states allow law abiding citizens to carry a gun in public.

The number of guns owned by lawful citizens has surged in the past year as has the number of citizens allowed to carry concealed. Violent crime dropped to its lowest rate in decades. The nation's leading gun elimination group is the Brady Campaign. They issue a "report card" annually on how many gun restrictions each state has. California got their "best" grade at 79. Only one state got a zero. The zero state had a homicide rate of 1.4 per 100,000 of population. California (with the nation's most restrictive state laws) has a homicide rate five times higher. Washington DC is even more restrictive and has a homicide rate of over 20 per 100,000. THINK LIZ!! The place with the MOST RESTRICTIONS also has the highest murder rate - the place with the least restrictions has the lowest. Engage the brain, girl. Pull your head out and look around. The mass killings are happening in the "Gun Free Zones" and not where the good are allowed to protect themselves. I am... E. Zach Lee-Wright
