long time memphian but i really really like (love?) both cities. but while most nashvillians seem pretty cool w/ memphis, memphis folks tend to be a little whiny about nashville's status. don't let all the boosterism fool you.
Hank Jr hasn't laid a single worthwhile note to tape since about '86. the guy is a disaster and an utter embarrassment to the family name. his "opinions" are just crap icing on a crap cake

well, that and the fact that TN and every other Red State except TX receives more federal money than they pay out in federal taxes.
For most people, (and to be fair, most small mom & pop retail outfits) credit cards are inherently evil. If you're diligent about keeping good credit and a zero balance, you can make a good money off them.
Dave's personal financial advice is pretty solid, probably the best of any celebrity finance guru out there. His cartoonish IN! YOUR! FACE! 'tough love' and his political rants are some real live bullsh#t. He's the guy you don't want to get stuck talking to at the barbecue. (and i would certainly never give him money for one of his books or his seminars).
