Agree with Lesley completely on the 90210 at Nuvo! I eat it at least once a month (in fact, just had it Tuesday!)
I'll have to force myself to get the Berkeley salad on my next visit....
Hmmm sounds like a very familiar promotion that happened last year on some other product's 100th anniversary....
Best Meal this year: The Optimist in Atlanta
Best this year in Nashville: several meals at Etch, several things from the specials menu at Fido (yes, really!!), Husk
(Note: it's been over a year since I've been to Catbird, or it would be on the list. I'm going again next week though!)
@james - I love Rasika in DC!
So excited that this is happening and that Audra is on board! She's incredible, and combined with all I love about BJ and Carlos, I have no doubt it will be excellent.
Agree with the others before me who say Heinz and only Heinz. I'm pretty sure I could tell the difference from birth. My grandmother used to try to fill up the Heinz bottle with a cheapo brand and I would spit it out. Seriously.
And I've never had a homemade/restaurant-made ketchup I thought was any good. Now maybe there's been a delicious dipping sauce or two created with a tomato base, but not ketchup. Nope. Heinz.
Oh, and on the Belmont Martin's opening....a couple of weeks ago I asked Pat & he said December.
The old Virago and The Trace were my favorite spots to hang back in the day. I actually met my husband at The Trace -- 10 years ago! Gah. Can't believe it's been that long.
Just went to Tippler last night after Bartender Bash because I was so impressed with both drinks they entered in the contest. Beautiful space and a very happening crowd for that late at night on a weeknight. Have a feeling we'll be going there often.
