I did go to GHS, almost 10 years ago. We were not allowed to wear confederate flags, anything promoting drug or alcohol use, or even tank tops because all of those things were considered "distracting." Did we like it? No but, we followed the rules because that is what you do when you go to public school. I care nothing about the kid being gay or not. I feel as though the kid was trying to get attention and he succeeded. Have you heard of several students wearing "I heart Lady gay-gay t-shirts?" Because if there were several, and he was the only one sent home, that would be singling someone out.
