Re: “Rumble Circus Reunion w/Swung & Two Happy Cats

a don't miss show for those that were around Nashville int he late 80's. The original lineup of RC (Jeff Cease, Erich Hubner, Alan Johnstone, Jeffrey Van Williams) plus Swung which is actually 4/5ths of Swing - great alternative power-pop band from the same era. On top of the the most fabulous Beth Hubner will be celebrating her B-day with all sorts of 80's Hillwood alums. Old school West Nashville represent!

Re: “Nashville Guitarist Edmond Turner Apparently Dies While Playing Onstage

I like many others have known Edmond since the glory days of the rock block. More recently he was a guest on the Mando Blues Show and last Friday we talked about him playing a house party for me on the 16th. Edmond was guitar player, singer, songwriter, gentleman, promoter and all around good guy. He lived a hard rock and roll life from what I could tell but he always had the charisma and the chops to keep the dream alive. What I hear is that he was onstage at La Hacienda in Franklin performing when he was hit with the heart attack. His friend Dale did CPR until the ambulance got there. He had to pry his fingers off his guitar to do that.

The last time I saw him was two Mondays ago. He was there supporting Miranda Louise's guest appearance on the Mando Blues show. He was every bit the Edmond we all know. From what I can tell, we may have the last recordings of Edmond. I will try to get those out asap for all to hear.

Last night we had Kentucky Thunder on the show as guests (Vickie Carrico, Jonell Mosser, Etta Britt, Sheila Lawrence). We dedicated the show to Edmond and played one of the recent cuts he did with us, a small bit of interview and some Hendrix and Miranda Louise songs in his honor. If you want to listen it's on at 10PM Wednesday night at www.radiofreenashville.org I am thinking of putting together a CD of his recent stuff with the proceeds to cover funeral expenses and the remainder going to organ donation charity in his name. If anyone would liek to help, please feel free tog et in touch with me.

RIP Edmond, you were a friend to me and to the whole crew at OmegaLab. You are and will be missed. Please tell Lee A. Carr and Chris Feinstein that we miss them too.
