When singer-songwriter-restaurateur Chris Blair decided to relocate his Listening Room Cafe from the awkward space it once occupied in Cummins Station, he wanted to create a new venue where patrons could enjoy good food and great music in an comfortable, acoustically correct environment. He has converted the once-cursed downtown location of Luau Louie’s/Have a Nice Day Cafe/Lotus Ultralounge, etc., into the sort of spot where you can actually hear the music of great Nashville songwriters without fear of being shushed (or shot). — Chris Chamberlain
A favorite showcase for fans, artists and Music Row insiders alike — thanks to crystal clear sound, comfortable seating and unobstructed sightlines — 3rd & Lindsley has been a home away from home for singer-songwriters, country-rockers and buzzing indie bands for years. Patty Griffin, Zac Brown Band, Rodney Crowell, Indigo Girls, Dr. Dog, The Time Jumpers, Lucinda Williams, Sheryl Crow, Sturgill Simpson … the list of past performers goes on.
