Micah Shawn aka Mic Wise is an actor, musician, photographer & activist among various other talents. Born in Chicago,IL moved to Nashville @age 12 already writing poetry, Micah began to further his journey into the world of arts & entertainment. Influenced and motivated by his favorite Aunt Pearl, he laid aside his fears & doubts about being successful and began embarking upon becoming great. By the age of 15, he formed a group and was choreagraphing dance moves & writing songs lyrics for his 4 younger siblings. By 19, he had participated in local talent shows & regional competitions as an actor/emcee. Years of early fatherhood & family life created a slight detour, but he remained on the path of his destiny. Micah has countless features emcee'ing on local mixtapes n albums. He has been involved in the film industry writing & shooting his own amatuer works along with acting credits from being an extra in indie movies, commercials to lead characters in thearter plays. "Mic Wise" is also an outreach volunteer for a few local non profit 501c organizations...in 2007 he recorded and released "The Peacemakers....Let's End The Violence--Enough Is Enough" for Galaxy Star Drug Awareness program. The Cd is dedicated to victims of gun violence and it offers suggestions & solutions to this national problem of youths killing youths. Currently, Mic Wise hosts the "Sound Therapy" event in downtown Nashville every friday night, as well as various other venues across the city upon request. He's acting in plays....does voice overs and the list goes on. This networking & innovating guru is truly Nashville's "Reinasance Man".
