Of course, we all know that Nashville has no coastline. But that will soon change, when the relentlessly savvy godfather of gulf-and-Western, Jimmy Buffett, makes Nashville the latest destination to open one of his Margaritaville restaurants. The level of rejoicing celebrated by Middle-Tennessee parrotheads upon the new location’s ground-breaking was second only to the joy of learning that Buffett would make a Nashville appearance on his 2010 Under the Big Top Tour. Hopes are high that it will blow previous tours out of the water — tours like the Beach House on the Moon Tour, the Beach Odyssey Tour, the Banana Wind Tour, the Coconut Telegraph Tour, the Last Mango in Paris Tour, the License To Chill Tour, the World Tour of Florida, the Off To See The Lizard Tour, and of course the Fruitcakes Tour. If you need an explanation for what the big eight is, then you probably don’t belong.
