Re: “#Mayoralchatter: Linda Rebrovick Setting Up Team, Close To Announcement

Well, she certainly talks like a politician. She is just getting started, but she is already tap-dancing all over the place. I have never heard of her before now, but I already don't like her.

The only takeaway at this point is that she is apparently a rich Republican who will be self-funding her campaign.

Re: “What if TennCare Director Darin Gordon is Really a Performance Artist?

"hired a third-party auditing firm, KGMT, to review how long completing the system will take. The review itself will take 14 weeks."

They couldn't just ASK the contractor? How many millions will we pay KGMT?

Once again we see this governor is only concerned with giving welfare to his corporate cronies. The GOP health care plan is simple: get sick and die.

Re: “Tough Questions, Frank Answers at Town Hall Meeting On Ferguson

NO! Mia Culpa, she's a waitress at the Waffle House. Sizzle..........

This just in, YOU do NOT direct the narrative here. Demanding answers to silly questions that have in the most part already either been answered or are obvious, is all for naught. Neither of us will be satisfied with the results and in this case the truth may never be acclaimed publicly!

Re: “Will Congress Address Police Militarization?

This isn't Baghdad, and we're not terrorists. And it's not really about having it, it's about when to use it, and IMHO we need it used judiciously. So far many police departments have used it foolishly.

Re: “The Real Question Is, 'Is Lance Frizzell Being Paid Enough?'

Ramsey says he pays his staff well, but they are employees of the state, and he's not the one paying them.

Why should a lackey for the Lieutenant Governor make more than a teacher?

You people commenting are a bunch of assh*les. Seriously, you have no clue about Jack's private life.

"If the police need military weapons"

That's the question, isn't it?

Re: “Tough Questions, Frank Answers at Town Hall Meeting On Ferguson

john, you keep trying to get people to declare if Wilson is innocent or guilty of a crime with what we "BELIEVE TO DATE".

More (possible) evidence about a sound recording of the shots has just been discovered. It's another piece that needs to be added to the overall puzzle. The formal investigation is not complete. Until it is, declaring guilt or innocence by public opinion is pointless.

Yeah, I'd worry about it, too, Yoyoid, if we actually HAD a racist attorney general. I think you have to go back to John Mitchell, for that.

Re: “Paramore broke the Nashville Curse and never looked back

I don't get this. I'm from Philadelphia, where Jason and the Scorchers received tons of airplay on the AOR stations in the early '80s, enough that I know who Jason Ringenberg is. How is this a curse?

I assume you mean mea culpa. I was going to let that go, but you keep at it.

Next time just say you were wrong. A lack of class, JC, a lack of class....

Re: “Radley Balko And The Greatest Timing Ever

REPUBLICANS????? Oh my GOD, shoot them before they multiply!

Your conspiracy suggestion rings mighty hollow considering they had imported considerable quantities of wood forbidden by federal and international law to import! That is called breaking the law.
I am further amazed that it is OK to shoot Mike Brown in your eyes, but horrible and unnecessary to place arrested people in guarded rooms until info can be gathered and a legal triage determined. Kinda screwed up priorities, eh yoyojohn???

Re: “Will Congress Address Police Militarization?

This is the stupidest subject for debate ever. If the police need military weapons to enforce the law, so what? Besides, the equipment is already tested. If it works in Baghdad it'll work in Nashville.

"Sue"

It's also not called "Let's shit on Olivia Jean because she's more beautiful than we'll ever be, and she has Jack White, dammit!".

Lol.

Re: “Can cars, bikes and pedestrians share Nashville's roadways without someone ending up in the hospital?

Nashville's motorists need to learn what a crosswalk is, keep a safe distance from bikers and cyclists and to yield the right-of-way to pedestrians, both at street-corner intersections and when coming out of business driveways that intersect sidewalks.

Pedestrians need to quit jaywalking.

If all of this is accomplished, motorists and pedestrians will safely co-exist.

"In my opinion Anderson likes the spotlight"

Did you ever hear Serpas? The most dangerous place in Nashville to be was between Serpas and any television camera. If you look up the phrase "attention whore" in the dictionary, it has his picture.

Re: “You Had One Job, Jim Tracy

complete version:
I know Dexter well. He is a wise-looking orange tabby with a distinguished-looking white bib and a slightly cynical expression, an intelligent face, and a bubba/buddha-cat body.

He is undaunted by his failed run for office, as there will always be a need for good write-in candidates as long as candidates such as Scott Desjarlais and judges like Casey Moreland continue to appear on ballets with depressing regularity.

When in need of a good write-in candidate, Dexter's your man! (Or your cat.)
