Re: “Mayoral candidate Megan Barry on her vision for Nashville, from the future of schools to transit and taxes

Me personally, I don't want the ACLU occuping the mayors office. Additionally I think one of the key issues currently is education. David Fox, and now with the endorsement of Jeremy Kane, represent the the best experience and ideals for our Nashville children. I have personally attended one of the many debates and it helped solidify my decision that David Fox has the acumen and vision to continue Nashville's progress. While Megan Barry seems like someone I would like as a neighbor, I just just don't get the sense that she has the capability to lead our great city forward.

Re: “Inglewood is lucky to have David Mitchell's new seafood-and-sausage joint Rudie's

My advice to the reviewer: Go back and the get the pork burger (WITH over-light egg). A friend of mine is obsessed with it, going so far as to buy a sausage grinder in an attempt to replicate it at home. With the option of having a meal of oysters on the half shell followed by a pork burger and lard fries, I now know I will be living in Inglewood forever.

Re: “#MayoralChatter: We Do Not Know What To Think About This New David Fox Ad

This is a weird ad. It's really all about Mayor Dean's accomplishments with Councilwoman Megan Barry's support. Who remembers Lower Broad this sparkling 8 years ago?!

"The murders in the TV station bring up the constant bad results of bad federal policy."

A disgruntled former employee murders two people and you try to turn it into an excuse for a tirade against affirmative action.

I have wondered in the past if you are more racist or homophobic. I now know the answer.

"neo-marxist"

Well, that's new. Stupid, but new.

"you must stop"

I have bad news for you, Lumpy.

"No wt and ht either?"

Haven't I made that clear? That's your fetish, not anybody else's.

Re: “The Daily Links: Uni Watch, the Second Amendment, and Graphic Images

The murders in the TV station bring up the constant bad results of bad federal policy. Rush Limbaugh (a conservative radio star, long the most listened to radio personality ) noted, thoughtfully, there is a problem with the forced hiring of minorities on TV and radio. This seemed to be the a good example as the shooter had been hired by several station in spite of his many issues, fired, and was hired by this station in VA to fill their minority quota there. His problems were known previously, and finally he was fired. We know what happened then.

These forced hiring of blacks are called "guidelines" and enforced by the threat of losing their federal broadcast licenses. We see the federales coming through the back door. RL had more to say; I am condensing this.

I was at the Krystal parked and listening, eating 3 regular Krystals...I do that several times a year when overcome with desire.

Re: “#MayoralChatter: We Do Not Know What To Think About This New David Fox Ad

Megan, you had 8 years, 8 years to do something. I’m so glad it was you and not me who had to negotiate bills, attend neighborhood meetings, put in sidewalks, make the tough public decisions. Amazing how fast 8 years go by when I sit on the sidelines. So I decided to take a nightly drive thru downtown, I couldn’t help but admire the progress you’ve helped make. But now that I am running for Mayor, I can’t praise your hard work. I can only sit back and criticize your voting record while I have no record of my own to stand on. So the last 8 years I’ve been watching you work while I dreamed of becoming the big Fox in the Nashville hen house you built.

No, Brainless, you are not an independent. You some sort of neo-marxist with a connection to the board, maybe the fake IDs? You follow me around like that sick puppy , I would not waste the time-you must stop; I do realize you still call me lumpy after I asked you to stop. No wt and ht either?

Re: “Ashley Madison Users of Tennessee, Let's Talk

Betsy seems to be under the impression that all 36 million of these men are cut from the same depraved ""Sure, I'd nail her/Ugh, no" attitude.

I'm not defending their willingness to break their vows, but if she is asking for empathy and understanding for all women, she should be careful to paint 36 million men with the same broad brush: they aren't all the kind of men who hang out in tittie bars and make catcalls on the street.

"Established Men" is another Avid Life site that got hacked, one that does have women, who seek rich men to "date" for an allowance. Can I safely make assumptions about their sexual depravity or that by seeking one man to date and screw for money that it says something about how they treat all men or want to be treated by all men? Is that a safe assumption or would it lack sufficient empathy?

If she wants a world without sexist generalizations, she can start at home.

Re: “#MayoralChatter: We Do Not Know What To Think About This New David Fox Ad

Steven had it right..Karl Dean should be upset. How weird is this ad, trying to say we have not had eight good years.

What did he accomplish in his four years on the school board, other than resegregate schools, try to abolish it and then rig the election?

Re: “Best of Enemies co-director Robert Gordon on how William F. Buckley and Gore Vidal made TV punditry a modern-day Coliseum

Can't wait to see this!

I vaguely remember seeing some of the ABC coverage "as it happened." have read written references to it over the years, and have seen brief excerpts from the broadcasts and, more recently, longer excerpts from the documentary within the last few weeks on respective editions of Charlie Rose and the PBS News Hour.

I wonder if upon viewing the documentary if I will have an answer to my question of the last 47 years: How did Howard K. Smith keep his cool?

Looks like the Fox campaign is throwing everything at Barry to see what sticks or to motivate their voters to vote!

"you force me to reply"

...because it's been so hard to get you to post until now?

In addition to your obsession with weight, you now throw in "and gay" to your verbal diarrhea, intending it as a goad or insult.

Do you remember denying being homophobic? Lumpy, I have bad news for you.

Re: “TDOC To Undergo Independent Review

I wouldn't "get my feelings hurt" if one of my supervisors deliberately chose not to characterize my broken arm as an injury. I'd get mad. And then I'd get out, as it appears Mr. Lester did, before I was "not injured" to death.

Re: “#MayoralChatter: ‘If Anybody’s a Centrist in This Race, It’s Me’

Brainless, you force me to reply.

Actually, thoughtful is a word often used by liberals when writing about what immediately turns to be a nasty bit on someone on the right.

As in a thoughtful well written story, the author, tells of the the depravity of the Koch brothers... See what I mean?

Also, when you see "pristine" by some ecoterrorist writer, well, you know where that is headed.

Brainless won't post his wt and ht. , to me it means he is anorectic (and gay) or just too fat.
He could be too short, ie, 5-3, rather embarrassing, if nothing else. Step up, my man!
