Re: “417 Union

Average food and subpar service. If you're just looking to satisfy hunger this is the spot. If you want a great breakfast and fun experience, keep looking.

Also expect it to cost $60 for two people.

My friend didn't like her salad because the lettuce was brown. She also didn't like the coke. Another commented on the lettuce that came with his quesadilla, but he didn't eat it. He liked their ginger ale.

Would I go back? Probably not. It's very small, and we went to the restroom and found that they had two bottles of lotion in the tiny unisex bathroom, but no soap. We told our waiter, but they never did put any soap in the bathroom.

Re: “La Terraza

First of all I don't typically post negative reviews but after reading other comments about La Terraza on other sites, I feel compelled to share our experience. We have been there once before and didn't have a great experience but decided to give the place another try. Again, they were shorted staffed. We did have a table of 7 so we tried to be patient but we had to ask several times for water refills. One member in our party received their food after everyone else had already ate. Our waitress left and apparently didn't give our checks to anyone else. We waited an hour (no exaggeration) for our checks. After crappy service, subpar food, and a long wait for the checks, the so-called manager came to our table with a very unprofessional attitude. He insisted that we were lying about what we had, when clearly our plates were still in front of us and refusing to apologize for the poor service. No one wanted a free meal, all of us were plenty capable and willing to pay for our meal. When someone at our table stated that we would just appreciate an apology for our poor experience, the manager said, "that's not my problem" and asked us to leave. I really wish I was making this up but its the honest truth. Never again will they get our business.

It's not the Camel...name changed to Throwbacks. Neighborhood pub with good live music and friendly people.

Re: “Urology Associates

Apr 2nd, 2015
What a horrible experience! My husband shows up at 8:00 am for his procedure at the surgery center (this is the 2nd attempt due to the first one being cancelled for weather). He signs all of the paperwork and then they ask for a $1500.00 co pay up front. We explain that we have a health fund and that we don't pay any out of pocket and that it would all be reimbursed per our insurance. They proceed to tell us they won't do the procedure without payment because that is their policy. Ummm-we had no problems at the office visit, and we told you over the phone when you called about the patient cost. We again explained that if we payed, our insurance company would not reimburse us because we are told not to pay put of pocket and that they could call to verify this info. They said it didn't matter what the insurance comp said, this was their policy . WHAT!? !? So 2 months after the initial consult, still no procedure! Bad business in my book. Go somewhere else that uses just a tad bit of common sense and knows the difference between a health fund and an HSA account

Re: “The Nashville Ronald McDonald House

Are Families of Veteran's being treated at Vanderbilt allowed to stay at Ronald Mc Donald house or is it limited to Children's families?

Re: “Carmike Hickory 8

They must have done some remodeling because I thought the theater was pretty decent when I went! Honestly most of the other local theaters aren't any better, and they'll charge you over $10 more to see the movie. Fandago and movietickets.com quoted me $16.75 for an adult evening ticket at "normal" theaters (Opry Mills, for example). um...what?!!! This is a much better buy! (honestly the best buy would just be to wait until comes on Netflix or get Amazon Prime...but if you're desperate to see something in theaters, this is the best buy you can get!)

Re: “Field House

The Whiskey Tasting was fun. I'd never been to this bar before this but I'd like to go to their next one. I think they do one every month.

Re: “Field House

The Pig on a Cow Burger blew me away! It was an 8oz BBQ burger loaded with pork...what?!?
The place is spacious with TV's everywhere. The staff is laid back and friendly. I like that it's non-smoking and has Golden Tee! I think this is my new Sports Bar.

Re: “Starlite Club

The manager lady did a great job with booking bands and keeping things running over the last couple of years. But it's a damn shame that the owners lost the vision, lost the goal, lost the interest to keep the place going.

There is a tremendous business opportunity in Nashville for a place like Starlight, where you can hang out and watch people or dance, have dinner, have a good time, raise a little hell, no pressure, no drama, no traffic, no parking hassles.

But no... they didn't care enough any more. A damn shame, and I hope that someone else with VISION comes along and takes up that opportunity.

Re: “12South Taproom

The Taproom has elements of the ideal beer bar, but the full package still eludes Nashville.

The good:

-Variegated selection, especially if you like West Coast beers
-Decent local representation

The bad:

-Imbalanced regional representation (Too much GA, not enough NC/VA)
-Overpriced and forgettable food. This tends to be a problem with beer bars because it's a good business model: get a couple beers down your patrons' gullets and their standards are lower, so you don't have to try as hard. Can't say I blame them.
-Overwhelming noise inside

What to fix:

-Make good use of the real ale rig and serve more cask beer
-Cut food prices 15% or step up your game
-Do something about the noise inside: Quieter music, acoustic panels, rugs, etc.

Some good other suggestions below

Re: “The Lake at Westhaven

Awesome Saturday or Sunday afternoon:
Stand up paddle board, kayak, canoe, peddle boat rentals from http://www.paddledogadventures.com/ plus Tiger Meat hot dogs, Oscar's Tacos, Ching's Chinese, and one of the best coffee houses in the South: High Brow Brew.
Fishing and feed the ducks, too!
Great for families, dates and even kid birthday parties!

Re: “Cinco de Mayo

My husband and I come here on a very regular basis. We love it! The service is always nice and attentive, and never have we had an issue with a bug or a hair. I would absolutely recommend this place and other locations to friends and foes. As "Stephanie" put it. lol. I recommend you give it a try and if you find a hair (I find mine all over the place) give them a chance to make it right. Do yourself a favor and have a great time all the time here.

Re: “Commodore Lounge

Home base for a some of Nashville's biggest, best and/or newest songwriters. I like that six out of seven nights a week, established and newbie writers can also sign up to perform there after the scheduled sets. I've seen and heard a lot of great performances there! Also great food, free parking and no cover charge--cool deal!

Re: “Bobby's Idle hour

This is the home-boy (and girl), not-on-the-tourist-maps songwriter dive bar to end all dive bars. People don't come here to impress, they come for the original music (no cover tunes allowed) and fun...not unlike a Nashville version of Cheers, only it's right on Music Row. You never know what industry professional who may work or record nearby might wander in and even get on stage, day or night. This place has a history like no other in Nashville, even the Bluebird. Now that there's no smoking, it's even friendlier to a larger base of fans. Strongly recommended if you're into substance over glitter.
