Olivia did not continue to be in Karen's band after the divorce announcement. Olivia stopped playing with Karen in early 2011.

Re: “Here are five local burgers you should be eating right now

It's hard to believe that any listing of the best burgers in Nashville did not include Rotier's grilled cheeseburger. It's a classic and always delicious; you can count on its quality like you can the ticking of the everpresent clock. I fear sometimes we get caught up in the new, the novel, and the outrageous (and, I fear, also the price, as in the more outlandish the cost, the better!!) as we make such lists. That's something that all journalists, especially those dealing with foods, should strictly avoid! KISS (" Keep it simple stupid!").

Re: “We commemorate the many irreplaceable figures we lost in 2014, whether they were known to millions or only to a lucky few

When I saw the cover, "In Memoriam," with the state flag at half mast, I thought you were referring to the death of the State of Tennessee....which, from a certain perspective, has indeed happened.

Re: “Why He Fought: Five Came Back Author Mark Harris on Belcourt's Frank Capra Series

Have you read Harris's Grantland article about franchise mania? The listed 100 or so sequels and reboots planned over the next 5 years is pretty depressing.

Considering that each of these sci-fi, fantasy and superhero movies will cost over $100M to make, and almost as much to market, I wonder how much money (if any) will be left to produce and publicize any other kind of movie.

Re: “Take That, Cyber Terrorists! The Interview Shows Christmas Day at Belcourt

I saw it Christmas Day. Amazingly, nobody blew up the theater in Murfreesboro.

I'm sure Kim enjoyed his depiction as an overgrown frat boy, if he's seen it -- as Seth Rogen assumes he has by hacking into Sony's servers.

Is Chip on rhythm on that record? Is there any source on this? I can only hear Jerry's guitar, he is doing the picking and the solo.

That is the writer I remember.
Now I have a glimpse into what my sister's husband TJ went through last year. Despite the challenges we face, the world keeps on turning. No matter the situation, we are still who we are. Great Read.

Re: “Anthem Nightclub to Close Feb. 8; Owners Plan to Fill Space With New Restaurant

All of Nashville has become a bit to "snooty" for the likes of most easy going boomers, aka those of us who built the city a bunch of whining overeducated baristas are taking over with 1800 dollar a month one bedroom apartments and 10 dollar cheeseburgers. ya can't even stomach the writers nights anymore, with everyone's face in a cellphone and just a generally cold uninviting who the F are you attitude that's evolved all over town. I'm done and moving back out West. It's become a black hole sucking in all the rich kids, wannabe stars and college graduates who can't stomach Willimsburg or Saf Fran/LA/Chi. Take it I'm out I can't eat one more serving of canned green beans, chicken and variations of classic southern at 38 dollars and calling it an entree, just ...soo..done. Demombreun became a bummer and is about to become a total bummer. AllGonzowitdaVind

Glad you mentioned EYES WIDE SHUT, a Christmas movie that nobody thinks of as a Christmas movie. But there are Christmas trees or lights in almost every scene.

Re: “The Open Thread Wants to Know What's the New Kale

So you have a compost. End of guilt trip. Not interested in a recipe? So you can convey a sample of a dish and re-engineer it without a recipe? You're worth a million. Get me that Papa Johns pizza dough recipe, stat.
