Re: “Summerland Tour 2012 feat. Everclear, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, Lit & Marcy Playground

Of course, none of these bands released an album "BK". Your argument is invalid, and mechanism pretty shoddy. Take it easy buddy.

Re: “Nashcamp Concert feat. Claire Lynch & more

There was no better music to be found anywhere in Nashville, IMHO!

Re: “The Sideshow Fringe Festival

It would be awesome if the website gave information about the performers. It is the worst event website I have ever tried to navigate.

Re: “Angels Without Wings

Thank you Martin for posting Angels as your pick and to my wonderful cast and crew who have made this production possible. Huge thanks to the Darkhorse, and to Jaz Dorsey, Ted Swindley, Todd & Jessi Cutler, and Steve Cooper who kept prodding me to "get her done."

Re: “Anne of Green Gables

Hi I'm just as big a fan of live theatre as you are and I went out to the Encore theatre last Saturday night on whim.
When I arrived I wasn't impressed at all. It wasn't much more than a small warehouse with a thrown together stage, and makeshift theater seating.
So needless to say I wasn't expecting much. Man was I surprised!
As soon as the play started I was transformed into the early 1900s. Not by set design, matter of fact the set was one of the shabbiest I have seen.
It was the cast. This was a top notch production. The young lady playing Anne totally took control and owned the evening. The entire cast was wonderful.
The story was sweet and innocent, but really funny. I really hope someone on your staff could go see this production. You will be so glad you did.

Re: “Rod Stewart & Stevie Nicks

After seeing them last year at the Hollywood Bowl, I am even more impressed with their longevity - how many artists can still pull in these crowds in their 60's and with the high energy that they display on stage . and, especially for Stevie Nicks, I think she is stronger in voice which makes her more of a powerful presence and an impressive live performer. As to how great she still looks, if you look back to the photos of Stevie when she FIRST joined FM - she looked 12 years old....and she was already 27- she's just one of those lucky people that always looked young for her age....and maybe not having a husband or children helped too :) - Anyway, it's an awesome show - you will not be disappointed.

Re: “Rod Stewart & Stevie Nicks

Amanda Haggard, You are writing for the Nashville Scene, about places to go and things to do and you say the only reason to go is to decide who looks the best? Then you insult them.
"Maybe some night in the middle of “D’Ya Think I’m Sexy?” Stewart’s stomach is going open up all Total Recall style and an alien baby will pop out, or Nicks will start shorting out like a Stepford Wife during a rousing performance of “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” Whatever the case, at $50-plus ticket prices, let’s hope there’s nothing robotic about this evening’s performance. " You should be fired.

Re: “Rod Stewart & Stevie Nicks

That is a really rude thing to say. THEY'RE RICH! They have personal trainers and others helping them stay in condition. Saw a show with Stevie and she exercises every day and doesn't go out in the sun. Their job is to take care of themselves and stay in shape so they can give their fullest for 2 hour shows. If you had 25 people taking care of all your needs you'd probably look better. Mick Jagger is the amazing one, dancing and jumping and running on stage. Stevie just turned 62, not old for somebody that takes care of themself. I have friends older that their only exercise is playing golf riding in a cart that are in great shape. Wake up and watch some of their tv interviews, which they're doing a lot of these days.

Re: “Midnight Movie: Ghostbusters

This Bill Murray tour will happen, or worst case scenario… a bunch of people get together in different cities around the country, get drunk, sing karaoke and show their love for a living legend.

Re: “Bluegrass Nights feat. Dailey and Vincent

I was at this show and they had the packed house charmed for the entire evening. The back up band included a guest drummer and an addtional guitar player, plus a visit from the lead singer from the Statler Brothers and a great gospel singer. All in all it was quite a show. Dailey has an amazing voice that reminds me of Vince Gill, but he can also soar into the stratosphere as a gospel tenor. Vincent is an extraordinary bass and guitar player and his vocals blend well with Dailey. This is a great show for the price. It made my first visit to the Ryman one to remember.
