Re: “Hoppin' Hounds Easter Egg Hunt

Hoppin' Hounds is fun! Funny at times - to see all shapes and sizes of dogs dressed up and hunting for eggs! But also a great family outing for a great cause. Always love events that we can bring the dog to!

Re: “Spiffy Squirrel

If you like standup comedy, this is a great event. Every week you get to see a mix of established local and touring comments along side shorter sets by up-and-coming comics at a great price in one of East Nashville's coolest venues (and without the drink minimum you have at bigger comedy clubs).

Re: “Rival Sons w/Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown

Went to the Rival Sons/ Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown at the Cannery Ballroom last night. The bands were great and the sound was ok bit it was so hot inside it was ridiculously uncomfortable hot. These guys have duct work and vents running through out but would not even turn on the fan. Thus I am not a fan. Sorry Cannery Ballroom it's not me it's you. C-ya!

Re: “Tyler Perry's Madea on the Run

The Madea plays are way more entertaining on stage than on the screen. Loads of fun!

Re: “Independent Lens: No Mas Bebes

I was poor and gave birth in one of the S. Calif hospitals in 1968 and was offered the procedure, I am part native amer. as well as white & my husband was an ex-con who drove cab in Watts. I was not forced to accept and really wish that they had forced the tubal ligation as I had two subsequent children and a very stressful life. I think the women are just trying to use a class action suit to make some money as are the lawyers who make at least 1/3 of the money on a class action suit settlement. I believe it is called a 1964 action.

I got a sneak peek of the gallery setup this week. This thing is amazing! 321 paintings that make up a graphic novel you literally travel through to read. What?!

The artist has been actively working on this for 4 years. Go see it!

Re: “Songwriter Session feat. Monty Powell & Anna Wilson

Absolutely the highlight of my trip and that includes a amazing Opry performance at the Ryman to end the night. Anyone that is considering a possible career in the songwriting/music arena needs to research these two and set your goal to be as much like them as possible. Blessed talent at its finest!

Re: “Sister Act: The Musical

This was fun, playful and more community theater than TPAC, but the HEART of this cast is evident and infectious and the audience was enthusiastic from beginning to end. I fell in love with all the main characters, especially LaToya Gardner (Deloris Van Cartier/Mary Clarence), Rae Robeson (Sister Mary Robert), and Mary Corby (Mother Superior.) The gentlemen trio who played TJ, Joey, and Pablo had the audience laughing and cheering consistently. The nuns were strong vocalists and the choreography was a good fit. Highly recommend attending. Five stars for value and entertainment received, four stars overall for uneven moments, ocassional missed notes for soloists, and some mic issues.
