Re: “In Memoriam 2010

Always in the floppy hat! The mountains are calling and she has heeded the call. An amazing person, role model, mentor, mom, and inspiration to many. I miss you mom and think of you often, but always when I am in the outdoors. I still can't believe you are not physically here but know your spirit lives on in so many. I love you mom.

Re: “Deerhunter & Deakin at Exit/In, 11/10/11

I love pictures of Nashville crowds looking like they're too bored and cool to be at an awesome show.

Re: “Nashville Scene Photography Contest Finalists

My comment above is referencing Doug Lehmann's amazing image of the diver poised above the rock quarry.

Re: “The Secret Sisters at 12th & Porter, 8/19/10

Teh "Secret Sisters" are so unoriginal that they had to copy their name from the
title of a novel. they copy their so-called versions of everyone else's songs,
whatever era directly from the style of the individual artists. they are
over-hyped in some kind of insane media blitz but it won't help.Voices
aren't all it takes to become a legend and great performer. Sisters acts
are notoriously boring and don't quit your day job as cashiers at K-Mart.
The affected hairstyles and dumpy dresses from the forties are gimmicks and creepy.

Re: “Alice Cooper & Rob Zombie at Municipal Auditorium, 10/20/10

I saw the Alice Cooper/Rob Zombie show last night. You can't help but love Alice Cooper. He always cracks me up with his brand of macabre theatre and tongue-in-cheek humor. He is the original innovator of the shock-rock genre. He has stood the test of time and has been often imitated by the likes of Kiss and yesterday's headliner, Rob Zombie. Alice has always found a way to laugh at himself while parents and religious groups cried outrage. He is all about fun and pure silliness with his brand of theatre.

Re: “Jason & the Scorchers at Mercy Lounge, 10/8/10

Quite simply the funnest group to watch and listen to. Never see the same show twice no matter how many times one sees them. If you're anywhere within a couple hundred miles, do yourself a favor and catch 'em. Guaranteed you won't leave disappointed and you'll be looking forward to the next time you go...wr

Re: “Prim, But Not Always Proper: Fall Fashion 2010

These photos are beautiful, but I can't even tell what she's wearing. Do they all have to be 1000 feet above her?
