@Native: There are Pith contributors who equate African-Americans with the mentally ill - they shouldn't be held responsible for their actions.

Re: “Is Slipknot unfairly reviled? Our curmudgeonly headbanger gives them another chance and says no

Haters gonna hate, who cares what this guy thinks really. If you don't like them whatever, not like your gonna convince the rest of the world to. Look at their record sales, people love them and are devoted to them, then there's people like Sean who hate them. I don't think they are going to lose sleep because some moron wrote a bad review on some shitty website. I'm just shocked that someone actually pays this guy to write this 4th grade level of writing. To sean's boss, I can write as bad as him and I'll do it for half the money.

Whoever wrote this article is the epitome of keyboard warrior who's afraid of leaving their comfort zone. Enjoy living in your ignorant box, because quite frankly, we don't need people like you in metal world.

Re: “Adrienne Outlaw talks Flex It!, Seed Space and her decision to leave Nashville

Back in the early 2000....I was all gun ho to be an Artist.....which I thought was ""SHOW and TELL".....I am so still so naïve I want to share time and stories....Did not know it was business{cut throat}......Anyway, I give Adrienne Outlaw to evalue my work. And write a criticize of my work......I gave her$300.CASH for this chore.....What I got back, she made a personal appointment in his office...Which was enjoyable visit but no suggests about me being an Artist....That was nothing he could do being Folk Art Director.of Tennessee......and letting me talk to him was worth more than $300..... more than enough she could do.....

Would it hurt to much to actually give Ravitch's first name somewhere in this blog for the uninformed?

Re: “How a terrible worship song drove me from Christianity

@neighsayer
First off, if you are going to quote someone, don't make up your own quote and attribute it to them. Here is what he actually wrote:

"But that isn't the Creator's fault!" said the Catholic voice. "If you're unhappy you're just not trying hard enough!"

But secondly, I think you miss the whole point of the article. Bad lyrics didn't drive him from Christianity. Instead, they caused him to realize that blind faith is a dangerous path to travel.

Also note that nowhere does he say he no longer believes in God, just Christianity.

Re: “Christmas Is Defeated In Williamson County

I believe yoyo/Gast does think being wished "Happy Holidays" is an infringement of his religious freedom. As he's made quite clear his definition of "religious freedom" is that we're all free to share his religious beliefs, but when schools try to acknowledge the diversity of their students suddenly it's an attack on his beliefs.

Obviously Pith has no shame in leaving a blatently incorrect headline in place.

Re: “Metro moves toward regulating Uber and Lyft — somewhat — as cab companies grumble

I'm honestly surprised the only comments are from cab drivers. I didn't think cab drivers knew how to use the internet, or anything really besides be rude and charge way too much for shit service. Why do you think people, especially 20-30 year olds are flocking to ridesharing? Because the drivers aren't creepy, smell bad, or drive like a major dick.

Re: “Mayday Brewery Turns 2 and You're Invited to the Party

I bitch a lot about live music. Especially at Tennessee Brew Works. Too loud, same old singer-songwriter shite. But to see Lauren Gilbert and her Thelma and the Sleaze tear it up would be a delight. If you go, remember to pack a lunch. The 'boro is so fucking far away.

Corey Taylor is by far the worst vocalist in rock music.

At first glance I thought that Omega Swan on the poster was a Geico caveman commercial

Betsy, have you stopped to think for even one nano-second that perhaps the police officer was fighting for his life? Can you wait until the grand jury comes back with its verdict? Can we all just wait until the grand jury comes back with its verdict?

Re: “How a terrible worship song drove me from Christianity

So Godly is Neighsayer in that he offers your escape to be death. Always interesting to see those who claim to be good Christian folk often persecute those whose faith has been shaken for whatever reason. So void of the very belief they themselves claim to have while damning another person.
