Re: “Weekly Open Thread: Wine in Grocery Stores Edition

What's the best (750ml) bottle of Scotch that can be had in Nashville for under $40? I usually buy Glen Moray, which is perfectly acceptable, but would love some other suggestions. I do really enjoy Glenmorangie & Glenfiddich, but they're usually over $40.

Sure they can be explained. Suggestibility, probability, and confirmation bias. People see what they want to see.

Re: “Peg Leg Porker Launches Online Ordering and Delivery

Online ordering really helps restaurants grow and profit from their "take-out channel", especially if its integrated with their respective POS. If you are a restaurant owner and you are interested in implementing POS integrated online ordering visit http://ez-chow.com

Re: “Weekly Open Thread: Wine in Grocery Stores Edition

I was in Kroger a couple days ago and they had the prices up. What a joke. If you thought you were going to get a deal because it was in a big box store, think again. We have 2 go-to cabs and both were higher than what we pay at either of the liquor stores that we buy from now. And both were "on sale". One of the wines had a "regular" price of $10 more a bottle than the "sale" price. Really? We're talking $15 a bottle wines. Convenient, yes. But I think I'll still support my local guys. And save money while I'm at it.

Re: “Individual health insurers seek rate hikes as high as 90.5 percent as sick population floods market

The progressives plan to crash the health insurance market and drive us into government-run single-payer is working exactly as they planned it and as conservatives warned it would. Elections have consequences.

But I believe I’ve seen the real thing. Assaults upon individuals are classified either as “demonic possessions” or as the slightly more common but less intense attacks usually called “oppressions.” A possessed individual may suddenly, in a type of trance, voice statements of astonishing venom and contempt for religion, while understanding and speaking various foreign languages previously unknown to them. The subject might also exhibit enormous strength or even the extraordinarily rare phenomenon of levitation. (I have not witnessed a levitation myself, but half a dozen people I work with vow that they’ve seen it in the course of their exorcisms.) He or she might demonstrate “hidden knowledge” of all sorts of things — like how a stranger’s loved ones died, what secret sins she has committed, even where people are at a given moment. These are skills that cannot be explained except by special psychic or preternatural ability.

Hey libtards, most of you are fairly dumb so consider this a free lesson! Those staying at home to work for Google posts are probably not what they seem! They sound great and had me hooked but when I went to the website, not only did I never receive a check, even though I did exactly what was asked of me, I received a very, very nasty computer virus, rendering it basically useless! I'm now forced to go to the library to check all my favorite sites, such as the Daily Caller! And Brother Yoyo, I watched the video! It's outrageous!

Re: “Deadpool too meta for its own good?

Jesus, I remember when my hometown Nashville was a cool place for hokey country singers, and not vegan hair dressers. Either you like the character or ya don't, but there's no debating that this is the best adaptation of a comic book character to film EVER. The only thing underwhelming about this film was that it wasn't as gratuitous as it should have been. Game of Thrones has more blood and violence, and the dirty humor was barely even on par with Hot Tub Time Machine or 40 Year Old Virgin. For crying out loud, I saw Elizabeth Berkley's vagina in 1995's Showgirls at the age of 10. I don't really see this gratuity of this film as any sort of epoch of America cinema. So you can leave the "OMG Deadpool is so bad for kids in 2016" argument at the door. Of course it's not for kids, that's why it has the "R" rating(gasp). Maybe parents should monitor what their kids watch? Maybe I'm just old fashioned?

It's quite simple. People like this movie because they like Deadpool, people don't like this movie because they don't like Deadpool. I could've written your entire review for you in a single sentence and spared you the gassed brain cells wasted on being a pretentious twat.

Re: “How a terrible worship song drove me from Christianity

Reading this made me sad. Sad that you no longer call yourself a Christian, sad for you, and sad that you didn't ever experience true Christianity. Being a Christian is not about singing songs or about feelings. It's about realizing without God you are nothing and you deserve hell but also realizing that it doesn't stop there but that Jesus gave his life on the cross for you because of your sin. He love you so much that if you were the only person in the world he still would have died for you. And once you understand these things, Trusting Christ as your personal Savior and accepting his gift of salvation. Then following him, talking to him and reading his word daily. And sharing it with others. That's true Christianity.

"exposing the fake propaganda against Donald J. Trump"

That didn't take long. yoyo and dailycaller are already coming up with excuses for all the incredibly stupid things and outright lies being said by Trump.

BTW, Nate Silver's first analysis of this race puts Trump's chances of winning at about 20%. If Trump keeps talking, that will probably go down as the election gets closer.

No one ever had to question Scotty Moore's migrant status.

He was a REAL American.

Purcell lived in East Nashville during much of his adult and political life. I know this because he was my neighbor even before he became Mayor. I grew up in the Inglewood Section of East Nashville but during the late 80's I was buying a NRHP registered Victorian house near 5 Points. Boner had sold his big B house behind East Park and was rehabbing a house down the street from me.

USA Today is your fallback source of information?

It's filled with meaningless "stories" for people who are easily bored and love colorful pie charts.

Re: “Tonight: Take My Wife Serves Up Retro Comedy at Chaffin's

Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail.
