Saw Mandy Barnett for 2nd time and continue to ask: Why or what is
the problem with this extremely talented singer having never had the
success she so deserving of in this town?
Is my favorite place to clear my mind and be at peace.
I'm afraid the pricing and exhibit information is a bit out of date. Adult admission is now $12 and Child (3-12) and Senior (62+) admission is $9. Planetarium tickets are $6 for non-members and $4 for members. There is no planetarium admission only available during regular business hours. Permanent exhibits include BodyQuest and Space Chase. The Microbes exhibit is no longer there. Hope that helps anyone thinking of going there.
Sorry but there was nothing worth braving the cold night air for...it dragged, crackled and popped but the jam Jonas hoped would erupt from Prince's old band never happened. I found myself waiting in pretense for a release, a crescendo in a song that never came. Just mindless monotony of endless measures that would finally come to an unexpected end. Unexpected because I'd zoned out long after he'd hit the second chorus of (insert any song) a song. Then he did a Stevie Wonder song, perfect for jamming, only to have Jonas' guitar turned up so loud you couldn't hear the lead guitarist jam and he was really jamming! That's just BAD FORM.

The Quebe Sisters Band was the finest performance I've ever heard in listening to the Opry since the 1950s, especially their concluding encore, that fantastic Texas Breakdown fiddle piece. Have them back OFTEN !!
They deserve all praise, publicity, and help they can get. They will help keep Texas on the map, so to speak. Only one word suffices to describe their performance: Fantastic. In every way. Thank you for sharing them with all of us, and special thanks to Marty Stuart and Connie Smith, and anyone else associated with having them perform ath the Opry. The QSB lends a new, fresh, and decidedly Country and Texas Swing sound to the Opry. And the standing ovation they got a week ago Friday says more than I can ever say.
Thank you. And God Bless the Quebe Sisters and the Opry.

What a show!!! Steve has made the transition to musician! He hasn't left his comedy behind either. If you get the chance, go to this show. Nashville got a special treat with the appearance of Earl Scruggs. Thanks Steve! You Too Mr. Scruggs!
