Went to Joes' tonight My son wanted to go for his birthday. Had a wonderful time. Katie was our great waitress. She made sure we did not need anything. The Kitchen staff made the best seafood ever. Come hungry it was a hold lot in the bucket to eat, Lobster crabs shrimp and sausage corn and potatoes. They made my son get up and hula for his birthday. What a special time.. Thanks Joe and all the staff.

Re: “Ms. Kellis Karaoke Bar

I will never go back to this place again. They have a huge sign that says "Karaoke" and they claim to have thousands of songs, but after 10 pm you can only choose from about 1/4 of them. That's right, they don't tell you this up front but they will not let you sing any song that they consider a "slow" song after 10 pm. The Guy running the Karaoke has a god complex, and so does the Lady at the bar. When I asked her about the Karaoke policy and why I couldn't sing the 3 doors down song "here without you" (which is NOT a slow song) she told me that if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else, and I could not have a refund on the beer even though I didn't ask for a refund. Nowhere is it posted that you can't sing whatever you want after 10 pm. I am a local guy and I have never encountered such unfriendly people anywhere else in Nashville. I would also like to add that I do not drink much, so this was not an issue of me being some drunk guy that they had to treat this way. I am actually a very friendly and social person with a lot of friends and I can tell you that I was extremely surprised by the bartenders attitude as I was very nice to her. Honestly, the karaoke was no big deal. I can live with or without it, but the way that they talked to me and told me that I could leave if I didn't like it was unacceptable.

Re: “Buck Wild Saloon

Eddie, the GM, treated my friend and I like crap & made us move from our seats bc the girls he was with wanted to sit down. Told us he was the owner & we had to get off the stage bc we weren't singing, which we were up next. When he told us to get off the stage, the girls started yelling at us and then one actually pushed my friend off the stage. When the bouncer came, he told the girl that shoved my friend to leave & Eddie told him to kick us out. So we got thrown out of the bar & we were completely sober. The employees even apologized to us. What kind of GM treats his customers like that and pretends to be the owner?!

Re: “Carmike Hickory 8

This was the most pleasant movie going experience I've had in years! It is an older theater, but it was clean and didn't smell badly. They did check my purse on the way in, so be aware, don't try to smuggle food in.

Re: “B.B. King's Blues Club

WORST service EVER. Tried to have dinner before Americana Awards show. Waitress screwed up drink order (didn't know the difference between Pale Ale and Dos Perros) Food didn't arrive 45 minutess after placing order and ended up going to panera and being late for show.

Re: “Carmike Hickory 8

We went to see Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Slayer this past labor day weekend. I didn't realize it was a discount theater and I was somewhat unsettled when I saw all the young people in line. But when I got to the front and saw the price tag of only 2.00, I was happy. My family got in the doors for only 8 bucks!! The theater wasn't super fancy, but it was clean, with nice comfortable seats and good screens. The sound was great, the employees were nice and helpful and there was no trouble at all. I got a family size bucket of popcorn that I can bring back to the theater and fill up at a discount. I am planning on returning here over and over again. Great night out for a family on a budget!!!

Re: “Carmike Hickory 8

You can't beat a big screen and surround for 2 bucks. On the down side, I've been in truck stop men's rooms that smelled better and the joint is falling apart.

Re: “Bookman/Bookwoman Rare & Used Books

Looking for a book? You'll find it here. And I dare you to ask a staff member if they have something. There are thousands of books in that store, and they know every one of them.

Re: “Lipscomb University

I've had illusions of attending this university ever since I was 16 or 17. The campus is beautiful. It's also small, so one wouldn't have to sprint to get to class on time. All of the staff I have encountered (I tried to attend last fall: EPIC fail) have been very helpful and very friendly. I attended UTM for 5 years, and getting answers out of the different departments was like asking a two-year-old what they want for dinner. The reason my attending was an epic fail is because this is a private university and the tuition is very expensive.
