"S"and "fanamore" both made some nasty conclusions regarding the guys sexuality. I want them to explain why Frank has spoken about his dates with women several times on the show. Mike is married and has St least one child. I really enjoy the show. Danielle is a huge plus on the air. I will be in the store next time my wife and I visit. Nashville.

interesting assertions both: 23 years without war, 1000 years without war? Doesn't it depend where your focus is? If you look worldwide I'd be surprised if the number was as high as 23 years ... or even 23 months ... in the last 1000 years!

The person above who responded to the write up was very articulate and informative and sparked a desire for me to see and study the collection. However; the venom that spewed out of Christopher's mouth at the beginning of his write up was not only unnecessary but a screaming siren of what is coming out of so many educated and liberal people at this time in history. Educated, judgemental, and merciless.

That is the sorriest description of Dottie West's illustrious three decade career that I have ever heard. If you can say that Dottie West is not a "deep" singer - and especially compare her to the likes of Tammy Wynette and Jeannie Seely, both of whom can hold their own as stylists but not a candle to West's emotional well of pain and joy that she experienced during her life - then you haven't listened to tracks from such albums as "Here Comes My Baby" and "Just Dottie", her first and last. "Would You Hold It Against Me" and "I Make A Great Cup Of Coffee" (PLEASE! What a joke that you would even recognize such a nothing of a song from one of her most unpopular albums) are merely footnotes to her other storied hits that showcase her artistry.

No kidding! The papers in Nashville list events wrong so often I've stopped bothering planning an evening by what's in the paper. You absolutely have to call ahead. In Nashville, it's not unusual for someone to do a 50 mile drive to see an event, then back. If I live in Franklin and have an event or gig in Gallatin thats 50 miles! a 100 mile roundtrip, yet they cant get events listings right in this city. Not only that, The Music calendar stops functioning at 530 pm daily. So if you're at work or in your hotel checking out music events and OoPPS unless you know to use the first tab on Calendar, you see no events. It takes a lot of incompetence to run a city! Good times!

It is important to note that the "J Street" organization has been described by the Israeli Government as an Anti Israel organization and Pro Palestinian group. And yes, these are the same Palestinians that cheered and gave out candy on the streets when the Twin Towers fell on 9/11. It is a great shame that the Nashville Scene chooses to give such an organization an open stage, it is even worse that the Jewish Community Center does the same - all for money. Shame.

I'm in 4th grade my grade sow it and it was very inappropriate for my age so if you see this don't take you kids. The play was funny especially the nonsuch that was funny. My friend anders fell asleep. It was very long and boring in some parts. So I'd give it a 5 out of 10

From 3000 BCE until the year 1492 CE when Europeans accidentally encountered the Western Hemisphere, the cultures of Mesoamerica, Central America, and Andean South America forged innovative paths of social, intellectual, spiritual, and artistic development. They created marvels of engineering, constructing the hemisphere’s tallest building at Teotihuacan in central Mexico (surpassed only in 1931 by the Empire State Building) and devising irrigation systems that moved water more than 160 miles from an altitude of 18,000 feet in the Peruvian Andes Mountains to the Pacific Coast. In Mexico and Guatemala, writing systems recorded history and astronomical data that accurately tracked planets and predicted eclipses. Long-distance travel from as far north as present-day Illinois to the Caribbean Islands and the Amazon Basin not only transported commodities but also practical, religious, and artistic knowledge. In every way, the ancient Americas constitute one of the world’s majestic cradles of civilization.
The John Bourne Collection is the creation of one man whose life was transformed in 1945 by a remarkable trip into the jungles of southern Mexico. On one expedition, he and another explorer are believed to have become the first non-Maya to see the ruins of Bonampak, a Maya city in southern Chiapas where now-famous painted murals were found only a few months later. Returning to the United States, Mr. Bourne (b. 1927) embarked on a lifelong love of collecting art from this region and others in the ancient Americas. At this time in the 1950s, only a handful of people, including the Mexican artists Diego Rivera (1886–1957) and Frida Kahlo (1907–1954), recognized pre-Columbian artifacts as fine art, equal to that of any culture. This exhibition features select pieces from the John Bourne Collection, presented both as beautiful art forms and as insightful expressions of the indigenous peoples of the Americas.
This exhibition was organized by The Walters Art Museum, Baltimore.
