Re: “Commodore Quake feat. Ludacris, Iggy Azalea & Jeremih

Concert was great! The Bigger story here is the Vanderbilt Memorial Gym, it will be for ever that a distant memory. A venue in the south with NO air conditioning?? Not just not working but NO ac?

Re: “Richard Trest and the Gata Bait Band w/Saturn Parkway, Don Gaylord, Mississippi Millie's Delta Blues Story & Mandolin Jack feat. Willi X. Evans, Brotherman & Todd Degg

Loud and awful excuse for a band. Guitar player can't even properly tune the thing.

Made the mistake of ordering a ribeye steak. The fatty, gristly thing was drenched with some shltty tenderizer and all natural flavor had been completely beaten out. The awful "steak" was accompanied by potatoes saturated in oil. All this shlt for $14.

Re: “Larry Gatlin

I love the Franklin Theater and have seen a lot of great shows there. I am also a huge fan of Larry Gatlin's music. However, this particular show seemed to be more about Larry's ego than giving the people who paid for the ticket a good musical experience. He still sings beautifully but he didn't do that much of it! There should have been a lot less talking and a lot more singing! In addition, It doesn't matter to me where you stand politically or religiously, but I don't pay for a concert to hear the entertainers views. I don't care and if I wanted to hear political commentary I would have stayed home and watched the news.

Re: “Inside Out: New Paintings by Charles Keiger

I find his work pedestrian and derivative.

Re: “Gershom Gorenberg: "The Remaking of Israel — The Need for a Second Republic"

It is important to note that the "J Street" organization has been described by the Israeli Government as an Anti Israel organization and Pro Palestinian group. And yes, these are the same Palestinians that cheered and gave out candy on the streets when the Twin Towers fell on 9/11. It is a great shame that the Nashville Scene chooses to give such an organization an open stage, it is even worse that the Jewish Community Center does the same - all for money. Shame.

Re: “Big River

I'm in 4th grade my grade sow it and it was very inappropriate for my age so if you see this don't take you kids. The play was funny especially the nonsuch that was funny. My friend anders fell asleep. It was very long and boring in some parts. So I'd give it a 5 out of 10

Gee Jack,

To paraphrase Woody Allen, I've been doing all my own reading since I was forty.

Re: “Fourth of July Wine Tour and Sunset River Cruise

I've dealt with a woman named Felicia who leads some of these tours. Just so you know, wine tastings in the state of TN are free. Please consider that- and the fact that she often does not even alert the wineries involved on these "tours" (much less make arrangements for cheese, chocolates, discounts, various winery pairings & demonstrations or large groups)- BEFORE you pay $99 for this tour. Rip off!

Re: “So She Lived

Needs a rewrite to make it more cohesive--it is in workshop mode now. There are strands of thought that seem unconnected and do not progress the story. The author definitely has a message, but the play does not flow and the lead actor tended to overplay and over-emote his scenes to the point of distraction. Looking forward to the final product.

Re: “The Moody Blues

Take it easy on Ed. Ed did the best he could not knowing anything about the band and after doing about three minutes of research. Don't be so tough on the guy.

Re: “The Moody Blues

there is nothing"wistful" about the marvelous moodies. maybe the person who writes a promo should have a clue about the band. the fact that justin hayward gets mentioned last tells me all i need to know. about the author. clueless!

Re: “Daryl Hall & John Oates

Saw them at Wolf Trap in Virginia this summer, and no joke: they were saying good night within an hour of taking the stage. They came back out to do encores, but total show length was under 90 minutes. The crowd was largely incredulous.

Re: “Name the Venue Bash feat. Wanda Jackson, The Black Belles & DJ Johny Jackson

Wanda may be worth it....but if you have to wait in a single line, in the rain, for over an hour to get in the the place again like we did on Tuesday night for Warren Haynes, I'll pass. I think the owners of Marathon Music Works have some explaining to do.

If you're gay in Nashville, this is the place for you!! Meet fellow sausage snatchers and carpet munchers! Be HAPPY and, uh, GAY ?!

Anyway, I am not (homosexual).

Waste of time. Unless you're an interior decorator.
