Re: “At some overcrowded Nashville schools, the student body is only getting bigger

"For 2014-15, nearly a third of the district's teachers have had fewer than three years in front of a classroom." - Wow.

Re: “Is Slipknot unfairly reviled? Our curmudgeonly headbanger gives them another chance and says no

To the person who wrote this article why bother writing about a band which you am dislike . You when in listening to them with the mind set that they are shit so that's what you are going to hear. The opinion you hold has led you to incorrectly state reasons behind songs and the lyrics themselves . You also cant comprehend a song with a simple message which is they miss their friend because he passed . You also insult the name of the albumn which is a tribute to their friend and bassist that passed away in 2010.

In future don't write an article which insults yourself because you have not done adqiute research into the artists thier songs and reasons behind them. There is no point in insulting a fan base and writing which is essentially a long tantrum of a rant because you don't like something. Stick to writing about things you can be unbiased and subjective to in the future .

From a person who now thinks , sorry after reading this article which gives me valid evidence from research , knows you're a dick

Re: “Can You Solve a Tennessee History Mystery?

While doing research for a novel and for an article published in the southwestern histstorical quarterly called "Sam Houston and Eliza Allen: the marriage and the mystery" I located the foundation and the cellar of the old Allen place. This was nearly thirty years ago, and i wouldnt be able to find it again. A woman by the nsme of eva denning, who lived in gallatin, took me there. I feel sure she is no longer living; she was elderly at the time. I'm sorry now not to have kept a better record of the location. I recall that it was still wooded and near the river. Surely there must be records somewhere. Elizabeth Crook.

Frying it purifies the torture out of it. The pickle on top helps too.

Re: “In Hating on Obamacare, Tennessee Libertarians Abandon Logic

Facts: #1 majority of low income working Americans vote republican.
#2 most them can't AFFORD any kind of healthcare but yet they continue to oppose it.
#3 88% of Americans have no clue what the healthcare act is even about good or bad.
#4 Paul Ryan said republicans won't give up until they destroy healthcare for the American people. Yes he said that!!!

Re: “Sure, We Could Regulate Hemp Out the Wazoo or We Could Legalize Pot

Why are you putting lying words in Betsy's mouth.
Taxes are a necessity, it pays for good stuff: roads, fire protection, clean air. It pays bad stuff too like the Bush wars and welfare for the rich.

Also, much of the same footage was used for a video about Tyson as well

Chick Fil A has released a statement that this company DOES NOT do business with them. This was yesterday or the day before. This is BAD reporting that their name is connected.

Re: “At some overcrowded Nashville schools, the student body is only getting bigger

This is a statement made out of ignorance and it is wrong. There are schools in wealthy parts of town with portables:

"They know that this doesn't happen at other schools," she says. "They can sense that this is a little bit unfair."

Why was it put in the article? The statistics in the next couple paragraphs prove that woman's, and her student's, ideas to be false. Will someone drop Ms. Vaugn and her students a copy of this article, please?

Now, if you could just tie Koch Foods to KOCH BROS, you'd have an ignoramus-meltdown.

2-3pm this Saturday (Nov. 22) MeetUp with me at the Parthenon for a Capoeira lesson where we put together Athena-like skills of war and peace! I hope everyone can visit the show to see what I've been doing for the past few years and visit with me before I go.

"I'm not opposed to taxes." - Except when they impact me or one of my favored groups.

You see, this is why this column is most analogous to the comic strip page found in other papers. There is no thought put into the words. The only thougts that flit through the mind at PITH are: Me, My Favored Groups, My Tribe - good. The Other - bad.

Re: “Metro moves toward regulating Uber and Lyft — somewhat — as cab companies grumble

The Biggest victims are the drivers tricked into operating illegally. They are at huge financial risk without commercial insurance coverage and the pennies per mile that they earn are usually less than the depreciation effect on their vehicles.

After a month or two most of them figure out the math and quit. This means there is constantly a new batch of drivers on the street trying to learn to be illegal cabbies.

Re: “Haslam Emerges as Just the Guy for National GOP Job

We intentionally chose not to expand Medicaid, even though we paid for it already. This choice means that 40,000+ Tennesseans lost their good jobs. That's a big hole to fill, on top of the recession and so-so recovery that other places are having. The jobs we are getting tend to be warehouse and distribution and retail. They are mostly not jobs to crow about, if they still pay so little that these proud new employees still qualify for SNAP benefits.
