Are you sure it was Katey Red? I looked her up & what I saw wasnt a tranny but a DJ & a bunch of dancers simulating sex acts
Katey Red was said artist. I missed her twice this weekend. I hate myself.
The MOJO tour was great. They went through six MOJO cuts back to back, the "Last Dance" fans left for the concourses, and the band had a blast playing what they wanted to play.
Peter, YES! I was wondering it it was real but then when I was editing photos the next morning I found a couple that confirmed it actually happened. They're really bad.
He definitely seemed more into the less familiar things: the covers (an area where the Heartbreakers have always excelled), "Tweeter," the stuff off MOJO. It'd be great to see him dig into the deep catalog, which has a lot of my favorites (e.g., "A One Story Town" off LONG AFTER DARK). I always hold out hope for "Ways to be Wicked."
Did anyone else see that DJ w/ all the extreme booty dancers Saturday night around 2:30a.m. on what I think is called the fountain stage?
TP is one of my favorite rockers of all time but his set lists are so tired. He throws in a couple of decent deep cuts every few years, but with a catalog as deep as his, he could mix it up a lot more and it'd still keep everybody happy. I fear he's on autopilot now.
The Eagles have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, earning five #1 U.S. singles and six GRAMMY® Awards. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the best-selling album of all time, exceeding sales of 29 million units. The band’s Hotel California and Their Greatest Hits Volume 2 have sold more than 16 and 11 million albums respectively. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

I loved Jack Johnson show. I love to be able to bring my son to a music event. All of my kids love Jack White as well. All his music is clean, intelligent, and stimulating. Hats off to Third Man Records for such divine artistry.
@Eric. Hmmm. Well, Paul himself said he hadn't played it in Tennessee yet, but looks as though he forgot about Memphis. Thanks for the note!
Mike is a great guy and actually smart as a whip. Been a satisfied customer for 23 of those now 26 years! Jeff is wonderful as well! Here's to 25 more years!
Incredible show, great article. What about when he played Yesterday? goosebumps from here to forever.
Not that I am a big fan of Tosh, his comedy isnt really my style, but yeah, bloggers are the lowest form and least respectable part of media. So he makes a good call with that. And lets be honest, anyone who is a talented writer/journalist, would writing for a major magazine or newspaper or something, not writing a blog for a free local newspaper.
For God's sake, do not defame Wilco with that obnoxious label, "Dad rock." What the hell?
Hi,
My name is Robert Rutkowski. On the evening of Sunday, June 9th, 2013, I was watching the show American Pickers, the "Elephant Series", on the History Channel. Among other things it featured musician Jack White as a prospective buyer of an elephant head. When the moment arrives when the two hosts of the show finally meet Mr.White to see if he is ready to buy the elephant head, Mr.White tells them to "pack it up", in other words, "I'm not interested". At least this is what I thought at first. Yes, I thought Mr.White was standing up for the preservation of the elephant by telling these two pickers to get out and take their head with them. Soon after, I realized he, Jack White just wanted to buy the head at a lower price. I was so disappointed that he didn't make any effort to defend one of our planet's most wonderful animals: the elephant. If he had refused to buy the head he might of helped, even in a small way, towards eliminating the illegal and often clandestine market for certain animal parts, be it skins, fur, tusks, limbs or organs. If we do not take step up to protect animals against poachers who will?
As you may already know, elephants have very sophisticated social skills. They have also demonstrated that they practice burial rituals. But I digress. I guess I am just hoping for the day when we as humans do not have to mount animal heads on our walls for personal pleasure or for whatever other need we wish to satisfy.
After the show, I was...I'll say it again... “disappointed” that artist and musician Mr.White didn't say or do anything in defence of the elephant. And knowing that Mr.White chose to call one of his albums "Elephant" makes the whole situation even sadder. Finally, I ask the History Channel to not air programs that in any way contribute to the illegal killing of animals and further mistreatment of our planet’s wild kingdom.
Sincerely,
Robert Rutkowski
great to see Sir Paul but I was disappointed he didn't deviate at all from the standard set-list he is using for his current tour. That includes the Foxy Lady "jam" and even the stories he tells between songs. Having said that, it's hard to argue with the mix of classics and deep cuts he performed.
Great article. He did play "Lovely Rita" in Memphis last month though. It was a great surprise.

Sounds like you decided it was going to suck before even attending the show. Mediocre writing as well.
