Re: “Tango Grill: This Week's Dining Review

Sketchy? You mean ungentrified? It may surprise you to know that educated middle class white folks live out here, some of us for years, and have yet to be mugged.

Re: “A Sign and Some Menu Items Revealed at the New Sutler

I guess the BEST GD CHEESEBURGER and the grilled cheese won't be on the new menu. I bet none of the original menu makes the cut. What a shame. It was a great place for a good lunch.
It seems they are headed down that farm to table highway, which is just an excuse to charge top dollar for parts (ears, tail, jowl, knuckles, and tongue) that used to go into hot dogs and sausages. When is was part of the pink slurry, we were outraged that it was in our food. Now that we have gentrified those cuts with a politically correct name and recipe, they are all the rage. I know that Insecta, the restaurant is not far from being a reality, but I don't see myself paying $30.00 a plate for fried cockroaches and grasshoppers. I have some limits to how adventurous i will be with my pallet>

Re: “Open Thread — Listage: Southern Living Loves Nashville, Bon Appétit Does Not

all future editors, one of these is wrong - can you spot 'it' ? it's - there's a clue - a pet peeve, so forgive me...

"On the one hand, we have Southern Living, which ranked eight Nashville restaurants among it's Top 100 in the South.

On the other hand we have Bon Appétit, which had zero Nashville restaurants in its 50 Nominees for America's Best New Restaurants, compiled by Andrew Knowlton."

Re: “Is Cappuccino-Flavored Potato Chip Creator Chad Scott the Most Reviled Man in America?

East Nashville Walgreens has 'em all for a dollar a bag. I tried the cappuccino ones for science: http://fancycwabs.com/post/94934413166/tes…

Best vegetarian. I am not typically easily wowed with vegetarian meals. I would love to be wrong. :)

I would LOVE to judge either Smokin' Thighs or The Grilled Cheeserie (or both). :-)

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea that Maryland and DC are in "the south".

Best Taco. Tacos are versatile. Food trucks can get really inventive with their tacos, and for some reason I've just always enjoyed an innovative taco more than an innovative sandwich.

People say they envy my job. I've only eaten at 30% of this list. I wanna be Jennifer Cole when I grow up.

Re: “Tango Grill: This Week's Dining Review

The Tango Grill is excellent. The location is a tad sketchy, but don't let that detour you.
Go for the Chivito, but experience the rest of the menu. Well worth a visit!
