Re: “The Daily Links: Farewell, David Letterman

I suppose Letterman's joke about Alex Rodriguez fucking Chelsea Clinton was pretty funny.

Re: “Attention WKRN — Being Trans is Not a Crime

I suspect that a good lawyer will be able to get thrown out of court. Paying with cash is not illegal, and looking "weird" is not a rational basis for probable cause. I wonder if they got warrant to search his room and his phone.

Re: “Attention WKRN — Being Trans is Not a Crime

That is exactly why female woman has become a useful phrase.

I think we will be seeing more of "gender fluidity" BTW. Perhaps B Phillips will address that one.

We also need to take a look at "micro-aggression; a new one probably for some of you folks.

Cue yoyo to comment under yoyo moi and feign ignorance of this whole exchange. The best the simpleton can do is cling to the pretense anyone is fooled by his sock puppets.

Re: “The Daily Links: Farewell, David Letterman

Once Letterman got past smashing watermelons on the street there wasn't much sophistication or humor to his show...except for Jack Hanna. The guy was like his brain was getting blitzed with thought overloads.

(Grammar police: I wrote it like that on purpose.)

Since Leno was mentioned: Evidently, when Leno replaced Carson, a new staff of writers was hired for the show and all they could come up with was derogatory, smart-ass remarks that Leno tried to pass off as humor. Derogatory remarks are so easy that any basement dwelling lizard can provide them. Anyway, as I recall, those writers must have been fired, or told to change their style to less abrasive observations, for when the jokes became less abrasive, Leno began to dominate in the ratings.

"And being a man who dresses in women's clothing doesn't make you a woman, it makes you a man who likes to wear women's clothing."

Well said.

Observer Collins spaces out his sock puppets for more implausible deniability.

That's better, john. When you wait at least 11 minutes to launch a sock puppet, it makes it much more believable.

Dude, elcommie, you have no idea how reality works. You have been called out on your lies time and time again. Your pooly crafted avatars are laughably easy to see through. You acknowledge your utter lack of credibiliy and integrity and still expect to be taken seriously? Nope. Unless you're engaged in some kind of long-form satiric performance art project I suggest you find a different sandbox to piss in.

Re: “#MayoralChatter Roundup: Kane's HQ, Freeman's Housing Plan, and Polls!

"Let's say no more about this."

Translated - I don't like it when someone points out that I am willing to lie when it feeds my ego. I am ordering it to stop.

"I must repeat I have dined with David Fox."

Translated - I'm important. Why won't anyone believe me?

BTW, standing behind someone in line at McDonalds doesn't count as "dining" with them.

"A financial conservative he hopes to tone down spending and let Nashville digest what has been accomplished."

What is his stance on run-on sentences without proper punctuation?

I said many of the rioters were just kids. I did not, at the time, think thugs appropriate, but it was started by that idiot mayor and went on...

50 years of progressive rule ( with plenty of money) in Baltimore. What's there to show for it?

I like 70%-30% amounts of FOX and CNN with the WSJ to start the day and then on Sunday read what I can of the NYT. A balanced approach.

Re: “Attention WKRN — Being Trans is Not a Crime

Attention Betsy Phillips - The person wasn't arrested for being trans, but for being a prostitute. See the difference there?

And having your life jacked up by being arrested for engaging in destructive behavior could indeed end up improving it in the long run.

Another one of her rants that makes Phillips look like an idiot.

Re: “The Daily Links: Farewell, David Letterman

It is an objective, scientific fact that cartoonish conservatives have no sense of humor because their entire world view is an act, pure schtick, their whole lives are but a poorly performed vaudeville designed to entertain no one but themselves. In their few moments of lucidity the con-sockpuppet-brigade here understand this.

Re: “#MayoralChatter Roundup: Kane's HQ, Freeman's Housing Plan, and Polls!

So, did say I graduated from Harvard; just being humorous. I immediately said I had not. Now this has become a cross I must bear. Let's say no more about this.

I must repeat I have dined with David Fox. This is the best choice for mayor. A financial conservative he hopes to tone down spending and let Nashville digest what has been accomplished. He's very smart, no old boy developer candidate or limousine liberal from the depths of west Nashville who, try as she may, had to forgo the MNPS.
