Re: “Obama Haters Waste No Time Opposing Haslam's Medicaid Plan

Angl

No, I would rather you just call me john. My mother always called be john. And, then it was Sir John with a hint of a bow.I stopped the "Your Excellency" stuff. We live in America.

As for the bow, was not BHO, always bowing to some 2 bit potentate.

Look at this:

Re: “Eric Garner Protest Stops Traffic, Onlookers From Broadway to Gulch

Regardless, cardiac arrest is not what caused Eric Garner to die.

Re: “School Board Chair's First Steps in Superintendent Search Could Violate State Law

It certainly can be a meeting under the law.

Yes, asshole (you're good with me calling you that, right, asshole?).

That doesn't support localboy's claim, that Medicaid reimbursement does not cover doctors' expenses.

Well you could make the same observation about a heart attack or any number of maladies, it isn't in a class of its own.

Wait, so a phone call is not a meeting?

Re: “School Board Chair's First Steps in Superintendent Search Could Violate State Law

"“While it may be a goal to have more board unity, I would caution about trying to reach unity on a decision, an action, in private meetings,” said Fisher. “There’s nothing wrong with unity, but the deliberation toward an action needs to happen in a public meeting.”"

Yes indeed. I imagine some members of the community are going to want to have some input on who the board chooses to lead our schools.

Re: “Obama Haters Waste No Time Opposing Haslam's Medicaid Plan

AnglWorm and JC.....

I found this. You can calculate all doctors/nursing home fees using this formula.

Equation (1) below demonstrates how the PW, PE, and
MP GPCIs combine with the three RVUs and the CF to establish a Medicare physician payment
for any service K in locality L6
6
The Medicare physician payment calculated using equation 1 may also be adjusted upwards or downwards through
payment modifiers. For example, physicians use a modifier to bill for a service when they assist in a surgery;
payment for an assistant surgeon is only a percentage of the fee schedule amount for the primary surgeon.
:
(1)

Payment GPCI RVU GPCI RVU GPCI RVU CF

You will have to find equation one (1) by yourself. There is some calculus involved but give that to your insurance clerk. Try this:

Is there some way to stop the bogus job opportunity trolls from posting on Pith?

Re: “Metro Police: Officer Shot, Teenage Gunman Killed After Sunday Night Shootout

Thanks for responding, but that really doesn't answer the question.

I get that the Broken Windows policy spread to include even misdemeanor tax offenses.

My question is is that necessary? Is that the right thing to do? Are we comfortable with having our actions so heavily policed? Are we comfortable living in such an authoritative state?

Some of us profess to be all for personal freedom, but when it gets down to brass tacks, we're only talking about our own freedom; when it comes to others, we want the book thrown at them, up to and including the death penalty, apparently, even for minor offenses.

I wonder why that is.

Re: “The 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Nashville and a Bit of a Mystery

The downtown church bells are supposed to start ringing at 4:30 p.m. today and ring for 6 minutes to commemorate the end of the Battle of Nashville, according the Christ Church Cathedral Facebook page.

Re: “Metro Police: Officer Shot, Teenage Gunman Killed After Sunday Night Shootout

@AnglRdr: "Here's a question: does someone selling loose cigarettes pose a public threat? Is it emergent for him to be taken into custody immediately?"

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014…

"Last January, the city passed stronger penalties for selling loosies and other illegal cigarettes and in early July, reports the Daily News. The NYPD’s Chief of Department, Philip Banks, specifically called for crackdowns on loosie sales in Staten Island. “Among the specific public complaints of illegal activity in that area included the sale of untaxed cigarettes as well as open (alcohol) container and marijuana use and sale offenses,” an NYPD spokesman told the News."

Garner was a pain in the ass, he had over thirty arrests, some felonies.

yoyojohn: what are you gonna do? You need to stop ordering people around. One might feel threatened and report you. Disagree all you want, but do NOT threaten. That is absurd!
