Re: “Ryan Adams Finally Plays 'Summer of '69' at the Ryman

The previous cover you reference of Summer of 69 doesn't really count. It was a sarcastic rendition with made up lyrics to retaliate against a heckler. This was the first time known of that he played a serious rendition.

Re: “Live Nation Acquires ‘Controlling Share’ of Bonnaroo

Live Nation — a publicly traded corporation that generates up to $20 billion in annual revenue and also owns Ticketmaster - How is THIS allowed... seeing as LiveNation makes a percentage of the ticket revenue that Ticketmaster programs AND they too make a percentage of the ticket revenue.... How did all of this bullshit get approved through the our government regulations people... Oh - yea - they probably got paid off too....

Re: “Jason Isbell Joins Ryan Adams at Conflict-Free Ryman Show

Really enjoyed the show, been lucky enough to always see him in non asshole mode, but yeah, can't believe people want to pay X amount for a concert, a rock concert, and sit down the ENTIRE SHOW.

99% of the time I hang up top at the balcony just to have the opportunity to move around and get into it, without some of the recliners complaining about you standing up at a concert. Heaven forbid.

Re: “Jason Isbell Joins Ryan Adams at Conflict-Free Ryman Show

Night two was even better, and we got that "Summer of '69" moment after all.

Goes a long way to explain Lionel Richie and Billy Joel at the top of the ticket. Live test-marketing trials.

Re: “Jason Isbell Joins Ryan Adams at Conflict-Free Ryman Show

I was at that show in 2002 and for all the flack he got for it, I actually dug the moment (maybe I'm the only one lol). I'm having serious regrets that I was not able to see him for this two night return.

Re: “Live Nation Acquires ‘Controlling Share’ of Bonnaroo

Any sentence that starts with "Live Nation acquires..." is not going to end well for fans.

Re: “A Reunited Sleater-Kinney Rocks Out at Marathon Music Works

This one was me. I'm not really a Sleater-Kinney fan, but I was genuinely impressed. If there's one place I don't want to be, it's a world where there is One True Form of Rock.

Re: “Riverfront Park Amphitheater Announces Name, Eric Church Show and More

spirit,

From driving by and seeing what is happening there I think it is a great design.

I may never have to pay to see a show in Nashville again. All I have to do is hang out on the sidewalks outside of this venue to see and hear the shows there for free.

I'm going to be loving this new venue!

Yep, some things can be free if you can out-wise the money grubbing system.

Re: “Riverfront Park Amphitheater Announces Name, Eric Church Show and More

friendly reminder, music > business. translation: music is greater than business. you can have the music without the business, but you can't have the business with out the music.
