Re: “Hip to Dip? Check Out Tomato Recipe Contest and More at This Year's Tomato Art Fest

@loveandnachos But unlike Melissa, she didn't snag TWO places. My idea is to just put my name on whatever entry Melissa chooses not to enter and take 2nd place. :D

Re: “Five Points Pizza Opens, Spinning New York-Style 'Za by the Slice

Went there this past weekend while visiting my niece. I had the Basil Pizza (without the Proscutto) and it was beyond fabulous. So good I had to get another slice. Then on Sunday we phoned in an order for the 18 " Basil Pizza (without Proscutto) to take to the Sunday Nite outdoor movie. Unfortunately, when we opened the box we found that they had substituted another type of pizza. Lots of Proscutto and NO Basil. Was so disappointed. Tried one slice and it was not good. Nevertheless, will be sure to go back when next in Nashville. Just no phone in orders. Don't think they can get those right.

Re: “DVR Alert: Emily Frith of Corner Market Catering on Chopped

Don't forget Roderick Bailey of Silly Goose, Kristen Gregory from Firefly Grill, Laurie Pitts of the Wildhorse Saloon, local fireman Robert Corbin and former Vandy football coach Herb Hand. It's been a big year for Nashville on Chopped. If memory serves, only Gregory and Barlow won their episodes, but we're proud of all of 'em!

Re: “Nick Seabergh to Helm the Kitchen at the New Sutler

Alchemy is great; Memphis's loss is definitely Nashville's gain.

THANK YOU for noting that Linus Hall is from Vicksburg. I have been meaning to ask why he chose Yazoo for the name of his Nashville business for ages. Now it makes sense to me.
