Re: “November Starts Tonight at Darkhorse Theater

Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail.

I basically profit close to $10k-$12k every month doing an online job. For those of you who are prepared to do easy at home jobs for 2h-5h each day at your house and earn valuable paycheck while doing it...

Good to see GREEN ROOM getting another chance. And can't wait for the De Palma doc and series.

Re: “The Legend of Tarzan Leans in to the White Savior Myth

This isn't a review. It's a plot synopsis with a few comments. Maybe this is the sad influence of TV show recapping.

It's probably best to keep Tarzan in the late 19th or early 20th centuries. The character doesn't work at all in modern times.

Re: “It's Time to Submit Your YASNI Entries!

My contribution for the 2016 edition of YASNI:

"You are so Nashville if. . ."
your church's ordination service lasts almost two hours because of all the music included. (This actually did happen at my church; I was there.)

Re: “Trailer Park: The Birth of a Nation, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back and Independence Day: Resurgence

I like a comment that film critic/historian Mark Harris made a couple of years ago. He wrote that the movies Tom Cruise has in the pipeline -- a Jack Reacher sequel, a Top Gun sequel, and (of course) more Mission: Impossible -- resemble "a classic rocker's greatest-hits farewell tour." I guess the days of Cruise stretching himself in movies like MAGNOLIA are long gone.

Re: “Flipping Channels: New OWN Show Takes Creative Chances, Person of Interest Ends & A New Queen Emerges

'Greenleaf' seems to have been developed by writer/producers who actually can bring substantive nuance and drama to the serious and weighty topic of the black church in the post-racial culture. Keith David alone, and particularly cast as the titular head of the church, is worth a long, hard look at the show.

Ms. Winfrey may have bought some critical credibility to her network if she stays on top of this one to ensure it doesn't stray into high-strung soap opera like the other OWN dramas.

Re: “Flipping Channels: New OWN Show Takes Creative Chances, Person of Interest Ends & A New Queen Emerges

You're kidding, right? CBS is NOT the entity that turned Person of Interest "into a muddled, hard to follow battle of the artificial intelligence teams." That was the work of creator Jonathan Nolan's work. This was his plan from the very start, if you believe his multiple interviews. He always planned for POI to evolve into a battle of the AIs. This is his Magnum Opus.

Re: “Flipping Channels: Nashville Cancellation Part of Overall Network Strategy Change & More

I'm a super huge fan of this show and I'm really hoping it returns. My local country radio station announced the cancellation of the show and I all about had a heart attack while driving!!!! Please rethink this decision 😭😭😭

Re: “Trailer Park: Marauders, The Shallows & The Legend of Tarzan

Isn't the whole concept of Tarzan a bit, well, racist in 2016? I mean, a white "jungle lord" in Africa?

The character was created in 1912, a time when few people -- well, few white people -- questioned the "white man's burden" (i.e., taking command of those primitive "darkies" because they clearly weren't smart enough to rule themselves.) It was a time when Western imperialism in the "Dark Continent" was seen as sanctioned by God. After all, Tarzan triumphs because of his good genes -- he's descended from a line of English noblemen. The "natives" clearly have no chance against him.

Tarzan with CGI apes. I guess that's supposed to be an improvement.
