Re: “NashvilleStandUp.com Reissues Late Local Comic Craig Smith’s Pre-Apocalypse Comedy

I used to work at clubs, they didn't have full restaurants, or lunch hours, or host AA meetings; they didnt have local purveyors or any of the other services we provided; and they didn't have restaurant reviews.

That's why there are different words for different things.

Thanks for making this not about Craig Smith, though. Freak.

It is what it is perceived to be, not what you want it to be. You can call Hair of the Dog "Carnegie Hall" if you like. We'll just go on ignoring you.

"...recorded at the gone-so-long-it's-scarcely-remembered club Hair of the Dog"

How odd to read your own, old business referred to as such. (It was a live music & arts bistro- not a club, BTW).

So happy this was rereleased. A work of art, it was.

@ginger I mentioned Homegrown! I love homegrown! I'm not a huge fan of McNamara's — which is why I didn't mention it — but my husband loves it.

You left out the other points of Donelson's beermuda triangle - McNamara's and Homegrown Taproom!

Re: “Nashville Recap: 'We've Got Nothing But Love to Prove'

Cole is the worst, followed closely by Maddie. Seriously. My one wish is for Cole and Maddie to get what's coming to them. Please, won't anyone tell them to eff off?

Re: “Nashville Recap: 'We've Got Nothing But Love to Prove'

Don't forget the obligatory screaming fit. This episode, it was courtesy of Deacon. Now, I love this show, but really, is there a rule that someone must pitch a hissy fit every single episode? Really writers, there are better ways for a character to show emotion. Also, is it just me or are these story lines pretty much a rerun of season 1?

Re: “Flipping Channels: Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors Tonight on NBC

Would it have busted the prop budget to come up with some plants that could actually pass for tobacco, instead of those cheap looking artificial polyester tropical (dracaena?) plants? After all, the failure of the crop is central to the plot, the "tobacco" field was featured in numerous revealing closeups, and the movie was filmed in Georgia - a tobacco growing region. Laughable. Also, why is Dolly's mother making her a coat in the middle of summer?

Re: “Flipping Channels: Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors Tonight on NBC

I just watched" Coat of many colors" , a great tribute to the young life of Dolly Parton! Very well done and I must admit I fell in love immediately with the little blonde beauty who portrays Partons early years!! She was marvelous! A nine year old natural!!

Welcome to the neighborhood! THere's a nice little series of walking trails at the Ellington Agriculture Center. Get on board with the grassroots effort to get Metro Parks to develop Seven Mile Park (just south of the Ag Center). 50+ acres of wooded floodway with much potential. Also, the Edmondson Pike branch library is a gem (currently closed for renovations).
