Re: “Band of Horses at the Ryman, 4/28/13

Well,as the band becomes more and more comfortable in their own shoes perhaps they will begin take more musical liberties on-stage and add new layers and elements to their songs in the live setting. http://bit.ly/10Lb9Yc

Re: “Kris Kristofferson explores the limits of authenticity on his latest, Feeling Mortal

I love Kris Kristofferson's album, "Feeling Mortal" it's a beautiful album, full of emotion, wisdom, and incredible imagery. Kris' voice has aged beautifully, and listening to him moves my heart, and makes me feel all he has been through.

In response to your rotten review about this superb Album, I quote Kris' words quoting Sam Peckinpah in Guy Terrifico "'Shut your mouths and listen, you bunch of fuckin' Hollywood rump-wranglers! The man's a poet!' "

'nuff said.

Re: “Promised Land to Change Name, Taking Suggestions

How about 'Wabash Cannonball'? A folk song Chuck Berry based 'Promised Land' on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Promised_Land_(song)

Re: “Promised Land to Change Name, Taking Suggestions

I've had "Tornado Face" and "Country Lawyers" in my pocket for a long time. But also, nobody else seems to like those, so I suppose I'll just keep hanging onto 'em.

Re: “Road Trip to Adams, Tenn.: Muddy Roots Spring Weekender May 10-11

It sure is nice to see the Muddy Roots crew get some love from Nashville Cream. Long overdue in my opinion...

Re: “The Black Keys w/The Flaming Lips at Bridgestone Arena, 5/3/13

I totally agree with this article. Being a long time fan of the Black Keys, this show had no heart and soul. If felt very cold and impersonal. I drove down from MI to see them in Nashville, thinking they would play their heart out for their hometown crowd. That isn't what happened. :( I'm still bummed about it today...

Re: “Spurgeon's General Warning: Let the Bodies Hit the Floor

"2B' for f sake, the man just needed to vent...I think that's why you got a "dislike" but I understand what you are saying. I've been trying to thin out having too much stuff too and have been donating piles of all kinds of stuff. Having too much stuff just gets to be a burden. Sometimes it's difficult to let go of stuff you've collected either for sentimental value or you keep thinking you are going to need that stuff someday. I discovered the tv show "Hoarders" and every time I watch an episode of it, it helps to say to myself "I don't need all of this shit anymore" and keep thinning the place out. Now I'm going to "like"what "2B" had to say since he can be sensitive to negativity and I want to give him a vote of confidence.

"doing stuff bones are apt to do, like hold my human body together. "

Your bones don't hold your body together. That's the job of connective tissue, like tendons and ligaments.

Re: “The Black Keys w/The Flaming Lips at Bridgestone Arena, 5/3/13

Is the Scene forced by contract to use the word 'scuzz' at least once in anything that is written about The Black Keys?

This has been one of my favorite albums for the past several years now. Sure is nice to see it get a proper release. Can't wait for the next volume of strange news from Mr. Wallace

Re: “The Black Keys w/The Flaming Lips at Bridgestone Arena, 5/3/13

>>>If you didn’t know that The Black Keys lived in Nashville, you wouldn’t have known it by the end of the band’s sold-out Bridgestone Arena gig Friday night.

The first clue: Their t-shirts read "THE BLACK KEYS, AKRON OH"

That mound that Wayne was singing from is the best invention in arena rock. I expect you'll see Eric Church singing from one soon.
