Re: “Street Food Awards Return Aug. 30: Win a Spot on the Judges' Panel

Best Taco. Tacos are versatile. Food trucks can get really inventive with their tacos, and for some reason I've just always enjoyed an innovative taco more than an innovative sandwich.

Re: “Open Thread — Listage: Southern Living Loves Nashville, Bon Appétit Does Not

People say they envy my job. I've only eaten at 30% of this list. I wanna be Jennifer Cole when I grow up.

Re: “Tango Grill: This Week's Dining Review

The Tango Grill is excellent. The location is a tad sketchy, but don't let that detour you.
Go for the Chivito, but experience the rest of the menu. Well worth a visit!

Re: “Open Thread — Listage: Southern Living Loves Nashville, Bon Appétit Does Not

Steve, thanks for the reference to the SL list! Just to clarify, I named 404 the #3 best NEW restaurant in the South, not #3 overall. The 10 best new are at the top, followed by the rest of the list in alphabetical order. Apologies for confusing formatting on our end.

Re: “Street Food Awards Return Aug. 30: Win a Spot on the Judges' Panel

To be honest, I would love to judge all the categories just because I’m a food truck fan!! But the category I would most like to judge would be Best Goo Goo Cluster.

Re: “Is Cappuccino-Flavored Potato Chip Creator Chad Scott the Most Reviled Man in America?

The Bacon Mac 'n Cheese wanted to be good, it did, I'm sure of it. But it just wasn't. There was the faintest whisper of bacon flavor and even less mac 'n cheese. Maybe they forgot to sprinkle the flavor dust in the bag I got.
I am on the cappuccino hate train as well. And am on the lookout for mango salsa and wasabi ginger. The Inglewood Kroger had all 4 flavors 2 weeks ago - on sale 2/$5 but I couldn't justify buying 4 bags of chips at once.

Re: “Is Cappuccino-Flavored Potato Chip Creator Chad Scott the Most Reviled Man in America?

The cappuccino one just tastes sweet and, hmmm, brown and vaguely -- VAGUELY -- like coffee creamer, almost like it happened accidentally. I never would have guessed it was "cappuccino" flavored if it didn't say so on the bag. But it's not quite the war crime it's being made out to be. I mean...it's no Fruit Newton.

I don't see how my Chicken Tikka Masala flavor didn't win.

Re: “Is Cappuccino-Flavored Potato Chip Creator Chad Scott the Most Reviled Man in America?

this is funny because my friends and I have been wrapped up in this very conversation for the last week or so. I have no interest in the cappuccino or the mango. I look forward to trying the bacon mac and cheese. I love the wasabi ginger and hope it stays.
