Re: “Best Community Role Model

I choose Melissa Irwin, who is in her 5th year of the charity for 4 orphanages in Zimbabwe Africa.

She attends Cross Point Community Church in Brentwood, TN, has a child with Down Syndrome, just published her first book "Well Watered.... Never Thirst", and has four orphanages in Zim. She also brought home a teen, Marlena, to TN to complete high school.

Melissa Irwin is an incredible woman!!! Getting her story out could help her raise more funds for the orphans and more awareness of down syndrome.

Re: “Best Do-Gooder

Mr. Poster has been inspiring and helping people since his early years as a teacher in Skokie, IL. I was fortunate to have him as a teacher in 8th grade.
It was great to see him again this Spring in Nashville and to hear about all the causes he helps. His achievements throughout his career are legendary.

Re: “Best Do-Gooder

Finally, an award that actually means something, given to someone who actually deserves it and embodies everything that award entails. Avi, in addtion to being one of my best friends for 20 years is the epitimy of community services.
I vote for putting his picture up in the Websters Dictionary under "volunteerism."
Congraulations my friend!

Re: “Best Do-Gooder

Dear Avi... Never a doubt in your love for your work, always giving back to the communities, watching out for those who are in need, always being there for your friends and family... John and I are very very proud of you. We think of you all the time and know that "sitting down in that La-Z-Boy chair" is not what we would imagine you doing at any time... We are very proud of you for all of your accomplishments and I am sure that all of those who you help are extremely appreciative of you... I know for myself, you are a great inspiration to me and will never forget your help and guidance throughout my life knowing you... Love to you and Joie and keep up the great work you are doing. Love and kisses Marcy & John (from Wheeling, IL)
