Re: “This month's abbreviated Wedgewood-Houston events come late but not short

Splitting the openings as happened in July should prove more favorable to all participants and gallery hoppers. Wedgewood-Houston should move to the second Saturday so everyone benefits.

Re: “Nashville artists Erin Anfinson and David Hellams change direction, both with compelling results

David is a great guy. He's addicted to porn; he fantasizes about every woman he meets. He loves telling his ex-girlfriend about all of her friends that he wants to sleep with while they are together. This guy actually thinks that's how a normal relationship works; david, yes, with no capitalization because he doesn't deserve it, you're actually a huge waste of space and definitely porn's your number one fan-- keep being yourself and making every woman feel fetid and atonic. Great art haha!!

And Infinity Cat Gallery will be packed as usual as we open "South By Wedgewood-Houston" featuring works by and inspired by the seven bands playing Infinity Cat's 2015 South By Southwest showcase: JEFF The Brotherhood, Diarrhea Planet, Ed Schrader's Music Beat, PUJOL, Music Band, Jawws, and Rozwell Kid. The show will be a mixed-media experience combining paintings, animation, sculpture, drawing, vinyl, and vodka. The night will double as a listening party for "Wasted On The Dream," the upcoming JEFF The Brotherhood album out March 24. 467 Humphreys St. Look for the fire pit out front! 6-9pm

Re: “A talk with artist Patricia Piccinini, whose disquieting yet appealing works explore the bond between man and animal

I agree with the first comment, although my 2 words are slightly different; creepy definitely, and also repulsive. This work illustrates a weird but definitely not wonderful preoccupation of one person. Why others would get involved and contribute I have no idea. Probably because they're paid. The images are grotesque and the message isn't clear. If you want to represent love and empathy between species well OK but why so weird? What's with the vomiting for instance? If such an image came to my mind I would try to distract myself to more pleasant thoughts but this woman wants the world to gaze at it and call it art. Why? She must have some source of money to fund the production and promulgation of such this stuff. Piccinini would be better employed working for film companies that need sci fi creations.
