Re: “The Daily Links: Farewell, David Letterman

Only someone as divorced from reality as yoyo could convince himself that Letterman wasn't actually popular. The stupids is strong in this one. Romney2012

Re: “The Daily Links: Farewell, David Letterman

There's a reason Letterman wasn't selected to take over the Tonight Show. He's not funny, and never was. 33 years was 32 too many.

Re: “And Your Rolling Stones LP Field Opener Is ... Brad Paisley

Yo Gold, the reason the reason the TM map appears to represent strong sales is because ticket brokers have purchased large blocks of tickets at reduced rates which will not transfer to seats being filled. The Stones are gonna be pissed. Let's hope this ruins the promoter and we don't have to suffer this kind of nonsense again.

Re: “As the school district readies itself for a new superintendent, a new report spots organizational knots to untangle

Classic example of top-down MNPS edicts: Forbidding teachers from giving the grade of zero for tasks not done. A student can have a 75 (a 'D') for one quarter, another 75 for the second quarter, not even show to take the exam and still get a 50 (the lowest grade allowed on any type of assignment), and still pass the class with a 70. Another edict: Points cannot be deducted for late work; thus, there really is no such thing as a deadline for students in MNPS. This is not the 'career and college ready' philosophy that the district touts, it is in fact institutional grade inflation. I could see this used AT TIMES in underperforming schools as a way of trying to keep at-risk kids from quitting; however, using it at all schools in all subjects (including AP courses at Hume Fogg!) is presenting problems galore as students have quickly figured out how to use the system to its fullest. By the way, at no time were any teachers asked what ramifications they thought might result from this policy; it was simply brought down from on high without notice. There is no way that Metro schools and their rigid restrictions can compete with charter schools and their flexible decision making ability.

Re: “Nashville Farmers' Market faces momentous change as community markets grow and thrive

I have some sage advice (pun intended) for some of you monied young uns': Buy up whats left of the open space in Cheatham County and start more farms. We can no longer rely on California, or any mega farm operations to be able to provide. And let's not forget why there are 13 other farmers markets: the bulk of them were spawned by the unwelcome response of the resellers at the NFM. To try and sell there as a small farm was an intimidating experience. The resellers were like a gang of thugs. Now that they are gone, you know who your farmer is.

I am here to give testimony of how i got back my husband, we got married for over 9 years and we had two kids. thing were going well with us and we where always happy. until one day my husband started to behave in a way i could not understand, i was very confused by the way he treated me and the kids. later that month he did not come back home again and he called me that he want a divorce, i asked him what have i done wrong to deserve this from him, all he was saying is that he want a divorce that he hate me and do not want to see me again in his life, i was mad and also frustrated do not know what to do,i was sick for more than 2 weeks because of the divorce. i love him so much he was everything to me without him my life is incomplete. i told my sister and she told me to contact a spell caster, i never believe in all this spell casting of a thing. i just want to try if something will come out of it. i contacted traditional spell hospital for the return of my husband to me, they told me that my husband have been taken by another woman, that she cast a spell on him that is why he hate me and also want us to divorce. then they told me that they have to cast a spell on him that will make him return to me and the kids, they casted the spell and after 1 week my husband called me and he told me that i should forgive him, he started to apologize on phone and said that he still live me that he did not know what happen to him that he left me. it was the spell that he casted on him that make him come back to me. my family and i are now happy again. Thank you Dr. Aluta for what you have done for me i would have been nothing today if not for your great spell. i want you my friends who are passing through all this kind of love problem of getting back their husband, wife , or ex boyfriend and girlfriend to contact and you will see that your problem will be solved without any delay. Re: “And Your Rolling Stones LP Field Opener Is ... Brad Paisley

Looking at the TM map, ticket sales appear to be very strong for this show. It's four weeks away and the top decks are mostly sold. In fact, the majority of unsold tickets appear to be the really great top-dollar lower-bowl seats. Just sayin'.

Exposing and ridiculing the Republican right for the eternal fools they are is fun, the tradition continues.

"Tip to yoyo : Go fuck yourself."

Sheer genius! Only took two warm up posts to come up with that gem, sleeping all day while others are working has really sparked you creativity and clever retorts.

Sorry to interrupt your self talk, how about six in a row this time?

Re: “First Bite: Embers Ski Lodge

Agreed, Salty_ron.

I don't see venom in these responses. I also don't understand why my opinion on dining will be enhanced by my real name. I know people tend to be snarkier with a pseudonym, but who cares? If eight out of ten didn't have a good experience, I should care that I can't look at their house on Google Earth?

How many restaurants would you say open too soon, C.C.? Most?

Are Letterman's "APPLAUD NOW" and "LAUGH HERE" signs retiring too?

Way back when David Letterman started in 1982 I could still remember what an erection was like.

And people wonder why I'm so angry.

Yeah, the entire expanse of popular culture is really stupid because they're not Republican. Go bury yourself yoyo, and dream of 1949.
