464 ZMB; To ascribe the label of "liberal" to those who fought for the North during the Southern Rebellion, is to be totally ignorant of the political situation. That being said, if being opposed to slavery is the hallmark of liberalism, that should really be considered a positive even among all but the most inconsiderate conservative. Also considering that both Sherman and Sheridan were Conservative Pro-Business Republican supporters of Grant (even though Sherman had a history of madness). Your misunderstanding of the philosophy of the liberal mindset needs much correction, as does your supposition I am dense! Stubborn without a doubt, but rather well educated and devout in my opinions, but still open to discourse from those who honestly desire it!

Ironically, TNGA Rep. Andy Holt --- winner of the Tennessee Farm Bureau "Excellence in Agriculture" award --- was ditching the Tennessee House of Representatives during January 2012 to take advantage of a all-expenses paid vacation to Hawaii, courtesy of the Farm Bureau at the time of these alleged complaints against Rep. Holt's farming operations.
It appears that the Tennessee Farm Bureau either has a very low qualifying threshold for "Excellence in Agriculture" or that the TFB was already aware of the complaints filed against Holt and his farming operations, and/or decided to award Rep. Holt with the "Excellence in Agriculture" award and Hawaiian vacation on the basis that Holt was a member of the Tennessee General Assembly.
How the Tennessee Bureau of Ethics director Drew Rawlins failed to make that connection is beyond my thinking, unless Rawlins was himself unaware of the complaints alleged and filed against Rep. Andy Holt's farming operations. The question now is "what did Rawlins know and when did he know it?"...

I quoted and pointed out to OMFUG that the "liberals" who "freed the slaves" (his/her words) were also the same people who were in charge of stealing Indian lands. That you don't posess the necessary level of intellectual acumen to understand that shows that you need to procure a larger "gem of education" yourself rather than question someone else's.

Oh, please, spare us the sob story. Your posts are NEVER innocuous, usually based on distorted or made up facts and deliberate falsehoods. You initiate personal attacks without provocation, then whine and play the victim like a cheap con artist. You have garnered a complete lack of respect from all but all who post here via your attitudes, scatological inferences, and outright lies, just as you have here. Yet you hide under the anonymity of non de plumes used at your scurrilous discretion and strategic advantage to reinforce your highly questionable POV. I do not fear that most who take you to task and reply in kind to your schoolyard bullying are afraid of honest disagreement, but to be truthful, you make this experience of what should be honest and spirited discourse, somewhat less than enjoyable. But speaking for myself, and I would guess several on here who do agree, I will not let the scourges of the earth chase me from what I desire. @Casual Observer: After enduring attack after attack - all personal - for anything I post, no matter how innocuous, sometimes I have a little fun and strike back at the tormentors. You say you're a long time reader, but evidently you haven't been paying attention and are liberal and one sided. For instance, the first personal attack in these thread came from anon attacking Zoombah. Next Jim Collins, without provocation, mentions me in a derogatory manner and I haven't even posted. After I do post, Jim Collins goes wild with his usual crap. And so it goes the whole blog until I decide to have some fun and strike back, which you should notice, was all in good clean fun and humor. And that's when you decided to comment. (Do you really think anybody believes that "long time reader, first time commenter crap?") If you were really a casual observer you would have noticed that the left nearly always attacks the right first and you're being blindly one-sided in your criticism. Don't believe me? Read the threads and make notes of who attacked whom and when and in what order. Tis always so. (Jim Collins makes grunting sounds when he types.)
