... stumbled across a link to Metro's restaurant inspection site, and figured _they_ should know where it is.

They say 1120 Murfreesboro Pike. (Haven't been by yet.)

So, no longer in my neck of the woods; twice-weekly visits are a thing of the past. But it has been far too long, so a special trip will have to happen soon....

My favorite way to enjoy Cheerwine is to chug it on a Sunday morning at 9:30 after crushing a Bojangles biscuit when I am extremely hungover

I feel as though I ought to carry cash around at all times, so I can tip better. You just never know what kind of service you will get when you tip upon ordering with your credit/debit card. And I thought that's what tipping was SUPPOSED to be based on, service. I always give 20% if the server actually does their job and doesn't ignore us. I've tipped 20% at fast casual before and gotten ZERO service. They call my number and I go get my food, I refill my drinks, bus my own table, etc. For that instance 10% seems necessary. But in instances where they bring food, refill water, get you a second beer, grab your empty plates as you finish etc then 20% or more seems necessary.

I always assumed they charged a little more because they paid their servers/staff a little more at these kind of places. So you didn't have to spend as much on tipping as you would at a sit down restaurant.

Like I said, my solution might need to be always have cash on hand to leave a tip at the table.

We tried Rudie's for the first time on Saturday night and had a great meal, minus some oversalted sides. I had the blackened catfish poboy, which did not hold back on the spice (fine by me!). Husband had the lobster roll, which compares well with what we've had in NE. Both on the same soft, chewy roll. Wonder what the source is? Took a chance and started with a half dozen Malpeque oysters -- delicious. Beer selection was a plus. Lovely atmosphere. Wouldn't hesitate to return with the young'un to try their housemade sausage.

Friday, the special taco at Bajo Sexto Lounge was Cochinita Pibil, suckling pig roasted whole in banana leaves.

I went over budget as far dining out goes this past weekend.

Friday lunch I picked up a chicken banh mi from Vui's Kitchen. It was really good. The grilled French baguette was particularly awesome.

For dinner Friday night we went to Cochon for their Friday fried catfish special. Delicious. Duck pastrami sliders and shrimp ceviche were also great.

Saturday evening we had early dinner at Bricktop's. I've been a little burned out by new Nashville lately so the always dependably good chain was the perfect fit. We had 2 babies with us and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating.

And Father's Day lunch I picked up a few pounds of pork and turkey from Martin's on Belmont. My family would mainline their white sauce if we had the gear.

It was a delicious if not expensive weekend.

Juanny - Dude - why you u act so not nice? I know you like a nice sannywich and we ees happy to make them for you. Jamaicaway, though, how could you after all the running around I do for you? My dude is a man man. He no tuck and run. He no rice and beans either, he likes the pork.

My son The Dude Abideth, John the Revelator, Who Me?, Mahatma, winencheese, Mammy, John Rogers etc. losing his cool again under his only non deleted screen name. What a shame, he normally holds it together over here and saves his truly psychotic outbursts for Pith. Must be off his meds again, to think of the tricks I turn to pay for those things

To the Dude - have you ever left Nashville? There are 30 places in a 5 block stretch of Flatbush (Brooklyn) alone that top Jamaicaway, and Calypso is a freakin joke if you want to call it Caribbean food. And I would love to see people try and define what "African American food" is...

Caribbean - Jamaicaway in the farmer's market, The Cafe - Decadence by Design, Calypso Cafe.

African American - Bailey & Cato, (<- by far the best.) Hatley's & Swetts.

I echo the need for some really good Chinese here...perhaps TKO will get it right...I hope its not all fusion...but my other wishes would have to be real ramen, top-notch sushi, and something like Zahav in Philadelphia - I know Federal Donuts (another Michael Solomonov creation) is coming here, but Zahav or even Dizengoff for that matter would be amazing! The latest addition to the city that's been making me happy has to be Butcher&Bee.
