Re: “Rejoice! Alice Cooper Is Coming to TPAC

Alice Cooper is the greatest live act I have ever seen and still putting out really good albums as well. The man is amazing and still has a ton of energy. This is already the can't miss show of the year. Long live the Coop!

Re: “Better Late Than Never: Madonna Makes Fashionable Nashville Debut at Bridgestone Arena

I am a huge Madonna fan. I have one of her lyrics tatted on my back and have continued to love her over the years. You have to respect someone her age that can still perform that way. The concert was AWESOME! If you can't handle one night out past midnight every once in a while, maybe you should stay home. I love the older stuff more as well but this gave me a new perspective on the newer stuff. It gave it more life for me. Does it compare to the stuff that came out before "Music"? No, but it was still fun.

As for the D.J...well, it could have been better. I think she looks like an ant on stage and that doesn't help. I think they need to dim the lights some, do a light show, and put her on the big screen to give it some life.

AND for those of you that were complaining...did you notice the amount of people not there at 9:00? I think those people knew the queen's habits and the rest of us have now learned them.

Great show and I will see another if I get the chance!

Re: “Better Late Than Never: Madonna Makes Fashionable Nashville Debut at Bridgestone Arena

@KT and @vwarriorprincess

Madonna had never performed in Nashville before, so no, most of the attendees probably haven't seen her live before. You says she never goes on at 8pm. Why not? What's she doing backstage that is so important? Why make you fans sit through a worthless DJ set and then wait for almost another hour to come out?

The new material is crap and it's ridiculous that she devotes so much of the show to it. Period.

What makes changing up the oldies more "relevant", as you put it? Relevant to what? They were fine the first time, so why screw around with them?

Re: “Better Late Than Never: Madonna Makes Fashionable Nashville Debut at Bridgestone Arena

Has no one seen a Madonna concert in the last 10 years?? This is how she does a show, people. She NEVER goes on at 8pm...which isn't even what the ticket says. She always pushes buttons, does a political rant, changes the oldies up to be a more relevant version (who wants to play the same song over and over?) and with a library of hits like she has, she can't possibly play every single one. That's why she tours so much. She changes it up and reinvents her shows every time. I have enjoyed my third Madonna tour now and will continue to enjoy more. Very glad she finally came to Nashville and I hope she comes back. Maybe all you whiny bitches won't show up next time and get in bed early instead.

Re: “Pearl Jam, LCD Soundsystem and Dead & Company Top Bonnaroo 2016 Lineup

Re: Dead & Company. What does "2 sets" mean? I keep seeing everyone repeat that verbiage with no explanation. Does that mean that D&C will play a regular 2-set show, like every show they've played, instead of a shortened festival set? Or does it mean they will play 2 nights, like Phish have done in the past? Thanks for clearing this up.

Re: “Better Late Than Never: Madonna Makes Fashionable Nashville Debut at Bridgestone Arena

I've been a Madonna fan since 1983 but the show Monday night flat out sucked. I know she is desperate to be seen as a contemporary artist rather than an oldies act, but if you're going to insist on a set list dominated by your latest work then it better be a damn good album. Unfortunately most of Rebel Heart is top 40-pandering sh*t that did not translate well to the stage, to put it mildly.

And the late start time was incredibly disrespectful to her audience, most of which was older and had to be up early the next day for work. Shame on the Scene for glossing over this. Clearly she's embarrassed that her audience these days is predominantly older and more conservative. I suspect she is starting the shows so late as a way of "punishing" her fanbase for not being hot and youthful like she think she still is these days.

Re: “Better Late Than Never: Madonna Makes Fashionable Nashville Debut at Bridgestone Arena

With the absolute travesty of a DJ that played for over an hour before the exceedingly long wait for Madonna to show up, the angry/confusing/vaguely amusing stage banter, and the terribly over produced garbage on stage (which did everything to detract and distance from Madonna's most loved songs) I'm not even sure I was at the same show as this writer.
