Re: “Fourth Annual Bonnaroo Bingo

No naked dude on the Bingo board? There's always at least one naked dude striding purposefully through the crowd.

Re: “Spurgeon’s General Warning: Scotland!

And here I expected to find Shooglenifty, the "Edinburgh-based six-piece Celtic fusion band." I always thought they should have named their first album OH SHIT, IT'S SHOOGLENIFTY.

Re: “Fourth Annual Bonnaroo Bingo

If you see the old pervy dude wearing a pink tutu and nothing underneath snapping pictures of people, you lose.

I'm very happy to see Luke Bryan as "Favorite Male Artist". I have purchased discount Luke Bryan tickets and got info about tour dates from http://www.goodseattickets.com/Luke-Bryan

Re: “Sigur Rós to Play The Woods at Fontanel Sept. 27

What an awfully strong reaction to a favorable write-up.

Re: “Sigur Rós to Play The Woods at Fontanel Sept. 27

What a horrible fucking write-up about an amazing band. I'm glad you missed the Ryman show in 06' and can only pray to god you miss this one. Seems like all "Nashville Cream" does is write horrible one sided opinions about everything. Weirdos?? Is that supposed to be funny? A badge of honor from some dickless writer/photographer?? fuck you guys....

Re: “Sturgill Simpson Album Release Tonight at The Station Inn

Well ain't this nice. I've been complaining around Nashville how I can't stand the modern country music and there ain't much "live" traditional country music to be heard since a lot of those folks have been dying and you can't hear their kind of music in the music town much anymore ((the big exception = Vince Gill)). It's nice to know this fellow is playing at the Station Inn. I stopped in there last Friday night after going to the 3rd & Lindsley Bar & Grill to see the Enation band, fronted by the actor Jonathan Jackson ((Lucky on General Hospital and Avery on Nashville)). The Enation band members from Battle Ground, Washington reminded me a little bit of the grunge music that came out of the Seattle area of Washington in the last century. I hope they play around Nashville again....hoping for a show in the Blue Room at Third Man Records. I wasn't done taking in "live" music on Friday night and that's why I stropped into the Station Inn after the Enation band show. I was able to catch the last set with Shawn Camp and friends. It was nice to see them and the Station Inn staff and owner JT again since I haven't seen them in a while. JT commented that the old auto repair shop next door that was bought is now being turned into a 5 room 5 star hotel. That does seem a bit peculiar but I told JT at least everyone staying in there will be coming into the Station Inn and spending their money there. Since November of 2011 I've only been in the 3rd & Lindsley Bar & Grill for two shows now ((1. The Little Willies band featuring Nora Jones and 2. The Enation band featuring Jonathan Jackson)). I have to say that my two favorite places to catch "live" music in Nashville continue to be at Third Man Records and at The Station Inn. Occasionally I'll still want to catch a show at the Ryman but I completely stay away from the big arena. The intimate settings are the best for really getting up close and personal with the music. I'm not fond of the Bluebird Café because of the "shhhhhh" policy which sucks, in my opinion, especially when you like to sing along. You can hoot and holler at Third Man Records and at the Station Inn and that adds to the fun of the experience. I'll be watching for this fellow and his band to be playing at the Station Inn again. Being from Cincinnati, Ohio, just across the Ohio river from Kentucky and having spent time there growing up ((liked to ride my bike down to the ferry and take it across the river to the other side to KY, ride around, and take the ferry back home to OH again...my Dad said when him and his brother were kids they would put a nickel between their teeth and swim across the river from OH to KY to buy the best tomatoes they ever tasted)). I seem to have a cosmic connection to Kentucky folks now living in the Music City in TN. That's a really nice song and appropriate simple video....listened to the song over and over again while I typed this comment. Thanks for sharing de p. PS: It was great to be in Nashville over the weekend to catch some great "live" music and being able to totally avoid having to get into the CMA fest mess going on in the very down of downtown. I stay away from that event every year anymore, because for me, that event is a nightmare. The news about the Americana Festival is looking good...thanks for the update Gold! Always like seeing Johnny Cash's daughter, Rosanne Cash at that event and it's a good time to see Buddy Miller playing too. He was at the 3rd & Lindsley Bar & Grill Friday night to catch the Enation band playing too. It was Nashville "live" which is much better than any Nashville recorded tv show I've ever seen!

Re: “Spurgeon’s General Warning: Scotland!

The trick to naming your band that comes from Scotland is giving your band name the co-rrrr-ect amount of R's to pronounce with a harsh t-rrrrr-ill. Like, F-rrrrrrrrr-ightened R-rrrrrr-abbit.

Re: “Fire Destroys Home Studio of Luella and the Sun Guitarist Joe McMahan

Joe has done some amazing work in his studio. This is sad news, but I'm glad everyone is all right. A very very talented musician and producer.

You killed it on this one, The Spin. "Baptist roofie dealers from the Jersey Shore"? That shit was on-point. BUT there's no such thing as a Fugazi t-shirt. Peace!
