Re: “Dead & Company Closes Bonnaroo 2016's Long, Strange Trip on a High Note

Whatever. Bob Weir is right and Rep. Rick W. Allen is wrong.

Re: “Dead & Company Closes Bonnaroo 2016's Long, Strange Trip on a High Note

Rep. Rick W. Allen quoted Romans 1:18-32.

I suggest Rep. Allen and Bob Weir both need to continue to read after the verse that Rep. Allen quoted. People like to cherry pick the verses they quote but must continue to read the full text to get the full meaning and context of what it written.

"You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. 2 And we know that God, in his justice, will punish anyone who does such things. 3 Since you judge others for doing these things, why do you think you can avoid God’s judgment when you do the same things? 4 Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?"

Romans 2:1-4 NLT

Ahem, it's "Caught Up in the Rapture," thank you.

I've been waiting all day for y'all's review and it was worth it. If I couldn't be there, I'm glad the Scene was so that you could make me feel as if I was. Thank you.

Re: “Kill Nashville Pop: Backward Is Forward for Country Music?

I remember a song by Travis Tritt, Country Aint Country No More, and me thinking what is he talking about in it, now we know! Im 63, and was a country dj for many years, but even I cant stomach [todays ] country music. They lost me. I think programmers at country radio at large are responsible. George Jones singing Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes? Certainly not todays bunch of singers. Dennis Williams

Re: “Catch Dan Auerbach and Others at Marty Stuart's Late Night Jam

Duane Eddy playing "Rebel Rouser" with Kenny Vaughan doing the sax part on lead guitar? With Chris Scruggs, Pat McLaughlin, Marty Stuart, and Dan Auerbach all sharing the stage? Forget the CMT's, that there was the only-in-Nashville moment of the night.

Re: “2016 CMT Music Awards, Oh Balls

Sitting through these award shows probably causes you a lot of pain. But it is so appreciated, especially in the wake of the loss of your "Nashville" recaps. The bit about mistaking Cam for Kimberly Schlapman made me laugh out loud. I haven't watched an actual "Nashville" episode or award show for several years and feel like I'm still in the know because of these recaps. You rock, Ashley!

Re: “2016 CMT Music Awards, Oh Balls

I think I love you! (Maybe next year they can get the Partridge Family to play that one)
But seriously, this article was the best thing I've read in a long time. I feel like I was there, but saved from having to be, yet oddly enjoying the unintentional comedy of the evening nonetheless. Bravo!

Re: “Are Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood Crappy Singers?

Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift cannot sing at all plus the fact their songs suck. I am sick and tired of them both plus they are boring. LeAnn Rimes is the best singer in the music industry today and continuously records great songs she also writes and has written wonderful songs. Her Christmas cds are beautiful and at the CMA awards, when she sang Patsy Cline medley, she absolutely stole the show.

Re: “Ink-N-Iron Reportedly Files for Bankruptcy [Updated]

Look people Trace Edwards just renamed his festival Art Gathering LA (artgatheringla.com), which just happened over this past weekend June 2-5, 2016). Yep only 9 months later he has pulled the same shit and claims to have run out of funds to pay its bills due to an extreme lack of attendance. Many SF Burning Man artists who hauled their big art to LA have been lied to and not been paid. This guy should be stopped.

One of my all-time favorite bands. I still listen to them often, and wish they had been together longer.

I still listen to Kleinefelter all the time. Seeing these guys open for Janes Addiction as a last minute replacement for the band that was supposed to be playing was a life changing thing.
