Re: “Bluebird Cafe to Close in June, Will Become Jimmy Buffett’s Cheeseburger in Paradise

A move to Austin might be in the cards? I love Texas but that tells me this is a joke.

Re: “Bluebird Cafe to Close in June, Will Become Jimmy Buffett’s Cheeseburger in Paradise

Anybody who thinks this story is real (on April Fool's Day, no less) should quickly scan The Tennessean website and look for a story featuring the quote from Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney. (Spoiler alert: It doesn't exist.)

I credit The Scene for a good prank and a chuckle, though. And the Karl Dean "asshole" quote? Priceless.

Re: “Bluebird Cafe to Close in June, Will Become Jimmy Buffett’s Cheeseburger in Paradise

PLEASE let it be a joke. I'd hate to think it's for real. I'd love to go visit there though as I've never been there.

Re: “Bluebird Cafe to Close in June, Will Become Jimmy Buffett’s Cheeseburger in Paradise

I really hope this is an April Fools Joke . As a Nashvillian from birth , the Bluebird is not only where I love to take visitors that want to see what Real Nashville is all about , but during the time the movie A thing called Love was filmed , As a Makeup artist in Nashville I owned a Business downstairs under the BB. I guess it could be true ...but I sure hope not ;(

Re: “Vinnie Vincent Update: Former KISS Guitarist's Court Date for Domestic Assault Charge 'Retired,' Ordered to Attend Anger Management Course [Updated]

Where is Vinnie Vincent? The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is less than two weeks away, and there's a seat at the KISS table for him!

Back in the late 1990's Matthew and Gunnar Nelson even played in there a few times. I never got to go there and see that place or go there for a show and I doubt I will now.

Re: “Jack White Debuts 'High Ball Stepper,' Lazaretto Album Details [Fresh Vid]

PS:

An apology to Jack White:

I'm just really adamant about the music I listen to, but to be honest, I ain't listening to much music at all any more.

After hanging out in in Nashville (coming up on 14 years) and seeing how fucked up a lot of music people can be (all self-centered/narcissistic types...call em "meme people"), listening to music can be a big turn off for me anymore.

In the past, I loved music so much I couldn't understand how a lot of folks could live in Nashville and become disgruntled and leave, never to return. Now I understand how people can come and go from Nashville = leaving it behind. Actually, feeling that way now myself.

Bottom Line: Instead of listening to music it can be more rewarding to go outside and listen to the birds singing.

2nd: Ain't no April Fools' joke here.

Re: “Jack White Debuts 'High Ball Stepper,' Lazaretto Album Details [Fresh Vid]

Well if he has to employ the female band at least Ruby Amanfu didn't fuck up this song with her singing that I really don't care for.

I'll have to quit following Jack White if he has her singing on any more of his albums.

Ain't no April Fool's joke here.

"The Thing Called Love" was not a rom-com. There was literally no comedy in it.

Re: “Television w/Tristen at Exit/In, 3/31/14

I believe the missing song was an old unreleased original entitled "I'm Gonna Find You." Great show and spot-on review,

"Persia" did drag a bit.
