Re: “The Black Belles' Olivia Jean to Release Jack White-Produced Debut Solo LP Oct. 14

I am really disheartened to read so many misogynistic comments about this young woman on here by so-called "fans" of Jack White. First off, I would bet that no one posting with such certitude actually has the first clue about the ins and outs of his marriage and why it didn't work. So subscribing to a very myopic view that this girl is a "home wrecker" belies logic. But even if you believe such a simplistic view of things, why is she the one being excoriated here? Did she marry Karen Elson? Did she start a family with Karen Elson? Breaking up a marriage requires the full participation of at least one of the people in the marriage. No outside person can force adultery. That is a complete joke and seems like a rather underhanded way to excoriate a female while giving the male a pass. Further to that thought, I would be willing to bet a million dollars that the people who are on here calling this woman a bunch of disgusting names are the very same ones who were saying they wanted to spit on Karen a few months ago over on the Rolling Stone website. If you are in fact women, I would ask you to ask yourselves why you are so misogynistic?

I don't know the first thing about this person or Jack White's marriage. But I do know that this is a very young woman (25 maybe?) and she is trying to launch a music career. And I do know that Karen Elson is the mother of Jack White's children. I think respect is due to these women and stop the hatred and filthy sexually demeaning insults,-against both of them. Finally, for what it is worth, I thought the sound clips sounded interesting and different. I especially liked the lyrics and the song "Distance" that was featured in the video. I wish her well in the launch of her record and I wish Jack well in the remainder of his tour. The ugliness against these human beings, (and remember: THEY ARE HUMAN BEINGS) needs to stop.

Re: “The Black Belles' Olivia Jean to Release Jack White-Produced Debut Solo LP Oct. 14

This otherwise forgettable and talentless girl should be thanking her lucky stars every night for all this controversy because otherwise she would not be getting any media attention what so ever. But you have to hand it to her and the way she snagged herself a record deal. Having an affair with Jack White and breaking up his marriage was a sure fire way of getting herself a record deal. Well, played Olivia, well played. While everyone else here gives you no credit I will at least give you credit for being smart. It was a very smart way of getting a record deal because her musical talents certainly never would get her one. Also very smart she did Jack well enough to have him add her on to his tour. But as much as her sugar daddy pushes her the reality is she is despised by most of Jack's fans. As much as Jack pushes her onto his fans it will eventually die down because the talent is not there. So she should enjoy her 15 minutes while it lasts.

Olivia Jean is one of the most talented, modest, considerate and hard working people I know. There is also nothing but professionalism with her and everyone at Third Man. Shame on everyone who doesn't have a life and knows nothing about these people before they open their hateful sickening mouths.

I Rodney Crowell is involved, it will be second to none. I hope he also produces the soundtrack and the soundtrack album. NOW, I'm really excited about this movie.

Re: “Slideshow: Sad Dads at One Direction

My hubby took our daughter to an Imagine Dragons concert with her friends in New Jersey this year, and was perfectly fine during the whole thing, but I honestly don't think he could do One Direction. Fortunately my daughter loathes them, along with Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift; her current dream concert is Bruce Springsteen or U2, so it's a predicament we don't have to think about.

But this would be a pretty amusing (also poignant) stealth photography project (looks like you've got a good eye and equipment); candid, unaware shots of parents at teen rock concerts. Trying to get a few during the actual concert itself would be fantastic.

We were there from Denver. My husband rocked a One Direction t-shirt and sang along. We Had The Best time! And the band always thanks the parents!

I don't think they are sad. More like bored or confused. Surely much happier than dads that take their daughters to rehab.

Re: “Brentwood Developer Sets Stage for Demolition of RCA Studio A

Where the hell is the Country Music Hall of Fame? They've been beating our brains out with fundraisers for that giant concrete ego castle. Isn't it their responsibility to do something. I'm pretty sure they've been telling us for years that they're protecting the history of country music for us as we've
supported their All for the Hall events. Did the Bradley's pay off the board? Why the deathly silence?

Re: “Brentwood Developer Sets Stage for Demolition of RCA Studio A

OK we all know that Harold Bradley wrote a letter that sold his soul and family legacy out for 4 million dollars. Now that poor Mr. Reynolds his given him the cash do you think we could get him to write back to the metro commission and tell the truth? "We have a building that is not worth saving," says Bradley at the conclusion of the letter.

I plan on seeing him in New Orleans and looking forward to it. People can be quite rude and if you are in a closed small venue you should keep your mouth shut.

Re: “Let’s Have a Show With No Phones Show Tonight at The High Watt

This is a great idea! People today are too wrapped up in their phones! It drives me nuts when I'm having out with someone and they're constantly on their phone. It's like we've accepted only giving someone half our attention as the norm.
