Re: “In the wake of the Jets controversy, a female Titans reporter enters the locker room

This "reporter" is such a whore.

Re: “For the murderous final stretch of a bad season, Vanderbilt should have fun and expect to almost win

Vanderbilt football is terrible and might not win a SEC game this year or next. Tiny head coach, tiny stadium, even smaller fan base, even smaller history of success.

Why do they have a team?

Be kind, the Nashville Scene provides warmth during the cold winter months...for the homeless on Broadway.

Re: “Worse than bad, this season's Titans are slouching toward insignificance

Everyone should have know this was going to be a bad year for the Titans. We changed coaching staff, entire defensive scheme, released Rob Bironas & QB journeyman Fitzpatrick among other issues. I see hope in the way Mettenberger played yesterday, despite what anyone else thinks. We can turn this around and return to the Titans of old who never lost at home and were once the loudest stadium in the NFL. Get behind the team and not trash talking them for some things that are beyond their control. I'm never giving up my seat at LP Field. The team has my full support.

Re: “After the beloved Titans kicker's tragic death, details of his last hours make us wonder about his life

He had tried out for the Lions a few days before his death, but do we know if
he had been given a yes or no answer or not at the time of his death? One of three they brought in for try outs.

He hit a sixty yard field goal to beat Indy one year when Peyton played for them.

Re: “After the beloved Titans kicker's tragic death, details of his last hours make us wonder about his life

Rob was a great kicker. I had a nickname for him, Bir-Money. He was money, the fourth most accurate kicker ever in the NFL. A lot of people, a lot of good people lose their mind when they think they've been cut-off in traffic. It's sad that he let his temper get the best of him, but he is not unusual or alone in this conduct. Thoughts and prayers for the family.

Whatever his "demons" where the last night of his life. I will remember him fondly for the many times his kicks made me jump for Joy as he would win a game with "that right leg"! It is time to honor him and provide support to his grieving widow.

Just maybe by the grace of God if he would have still been a Titan, he might have been in Ohio and not gone! So sad:)

Re: “The Derek Mason Era begins with a thud — and the realization that James Franklin left at the right time

I am not in the prediction business, but would remind all that Franklin's 2012 team started out 0-2 and was 1-3 after the first four games. We went on to finish with 9 wins including the bowl win. Derek Mason is much more about building character and champions than in building his own ego and reputation. Mason is the real deal and will find the tools to build a team to be proud of.

Vanderbilt's offense has 0 TDs, and hasn't named a QB for Saturday's game, yet they're favored to beat UMass by 17.5? #noeffingway

Re: “As the Sounds say goodbye to Greer Stadium, so does a lifelong baseball fan with a heart full of memories

Wonderful Story Kay, My memories of summer nights at Greer will be cherished also. Although I`ve not been as much in recent years, when my kids were younger, we went to a lot of games. They always wanted to go when the Famous Chicken was in town. We also had second row dugout seats one time when Michael Jordan played for the Birmingham Barons...Hopefully, the new Sulpher Dell Stadium will create a whole new set of memories for todays kids.

Re: “Former Vandy great David Price is living the high life but vowing to avoid the traps into which many professional athletes fall

David is amazing and I will be a fan where ever his career takes him. I hope the Rays front office finds a way to pay him in future years but I really think he should go for the big bucks. The shelf life of a pro athlete is short and he should ride the wave of his success. I would hate to see him go but if it is a good move then so be it.
